Chapter 88 - Chapter 88 Underworld

City of Lilith, Underworld.

"I've been hearing from my little sister lately that there's a strong human around her Queen. It seems she really wanted him to join her peerage, but he wouldn't budge at all. Do you know anything about him, Sirzechs-chan? I heard he even made your little sister's Queen his girlfriend as well. Fortunately, your Queen is always by your side, or he might've taken a fancy to her too~ fufufu."

The Crimson Satan stared expressionlessly at the other Satan sitting across from him. Serafall Leviathan looked like someone in her late teens, with black hair tied into twin tails and bright blue eyes. Despite her youthful appearance and cheerful personality, one must never underestimate her. Serafall could easily level a city or two if she jokingly unleashed Magical Splash Flare while dressed in one of her infamous magical girl outfits. Her mastery over ice placed her among the top Ultimate-Class Devils of her era, an already small number after the Great War. If she willed it, she could turn an entire region into a frozen wasteland.

"You're talking about Igarashi Kousuke, right?" Sirzechs replied calmly. "Yes, I know him. I've even met him before, during our Peace Treaty meeting with Azazel and Michael. He's not the playboy you think he is, at least not one who chases after every girl he meets."

He paused for a moment, recalling their encounter.

"Back then, I was struggling against Fenrir, Loki's trump card. But Kousuke took care of it like it was a wild dog, he tamed it, then slew the God of Mischief himself. I haven't heard any word of Norse retaliation since, but… I imagine Odin is keeping a cautious eye on him."

"I haven't heard you praise anyone like this before," Ajuka remarked with a faint smile. The green-haired Satan leaned back in his chair, his light-blue eyes reflecting quiet amusement. Unlike most devils, Ajuka Beelzebub had little interest in political power or battle. His passions lay in creation and innovation, he was a genius inventor who only accepted the title of Satan to stand beside his close friend, Sirzechs. While the Crimson Satan handled the political sphere, Ajuka preferred to bury himself in research. Still, when duty called, he fulfilled his role without hesitation.

"Heeh~ something that interesting happened while I was filming my magical show? Not fair!" Serafall pouted dramatically. "I wanted to have fun too!"

Sirzechs gave her a weary look. "Your idea of fun is cosplaying as a magical girl for centuries. Aren't you bored by now?"

"Never! Magical girls are eternal!" Serafall declared proudly, flashing him a peace sign and a wink. Her childish enthusiasm earned another sigh from Sirzechs, while Ajuka simply smiled warmly at their familiar antics. He had long since grown used to their contrasting personalities since the day they became Satans.

Suddenly, a ringtone interrupted the moment. Sirzechs took out his phone, glanced at the caller ID, and offered a polite nod to his peers before answering. His calm tone softened as he spoke. "Yes, this is the Crimson Satan speaking. Hm? I'm in a meeting, but it's fine, we're on a short break. Oh? Today? Alright. Let him know I'll be available in about an hour. I'll send Grayfia to you once I'm ready. See you later."

The moment he ended the call, a silver-haired woman appeared beside him without warning.Grayfia Lucifuge, his former Queen and now his wife, bowed slightly. She was a vision of elegance: silver hair cascading to her back, two long braids tied with blue ribbons framing her face, and eyes the shade of crimson gems. Her maid uniform, or rather her so-called "working attire," only accentuated the aura of quiet authority she carried.

"You called?" Her tone was composed, formal—dutiful, yet graceful.

"Yes," Sirzechs said. "Please bring Rias, her peerage, and my guest with them to the Gremory Estate." His eyes glances at Serafall before continuing, "Entertain them for a while until I arrive, and don't let anyone approach them, especially my guest. I'm sure you will understand what I meant once you meet him."

Grayfia nodded silently before vanishing in a shimmer of demonic light. Serafall perked up, her curiosity immediately piqued as she connected the dots. "Wait, did you just say the human? Don't tell me…"

"Yes," Sirzechs admitted with a faint chuckle. "It seems he wants me to fulfill my promise of guiding him around the Underworld."

He recalled their brief exchange during the peace treaty meeting, when Kousuke had casually mentioned wanting to "see what the Underworld looks like." Sirzechs hadn't thought the man was serious, but apparently, he was.

"Hehehe~ a Satan guiding a human through the Underworld? That sounds like something straight out of a light novel Rias-chan would read," Serafall teased, giggling. "I don't have much to do after this anyway, so I'd like to meet this man in person."

...

Kuoh Academy, Occult Research Club.

A familiar hum of demonic energy filled the air before a magic circle, glowing deep crimson and etched with intricate runes, formed at the center of the room. The temperature dropped slightly as the light swirled upward, twisting into a shimmering oval of violet light, a portal. From within, a woman stepped out with composed grace.

Grayfia Lucifuge's silver hair glimmered under the dim light of the clubroom as her crimson eyes scanned the room with quiet authority. Rias and her peerage immediately recognized her presence and straightened.

"Grayfia!" Rias greeted with a warm smile. "You're earlier than expected."

"The arrangements have been completed sooner than planned," Grayfia replied calmly. "Lord Sirzechs is expecting your arrival at the Gremory Estate within the hour. I am here to escort you, your peerage, and your… guests."

Her gaze shifted toward Kousuke and Morgan, who stood side by side near the window. Morgan offered a polite smile that carried a hint of amusement, while Kousuke simply nodded.

"Guests, huh? Makes me sound like some foreign dignitary," Kousuke remarked, his tone light and casual.

"In a way, you are," Grayfia replied evenly. "You are a guest of the Gremory household, and one of considerable interest to the Satans. I would advise you to be mindful of your surroundings, Mister Igarashi." Her tone wasn't hostile, simply factual, the way a dutiful maid would caution someone unfamiliar with the rules of her master's domain.

Kousuke smirked faintly, he was amused at the thought that the maid before him was actually Crimson Satan's wife. Rias had informed him and Morgan beforehand. "Duly noted~"

With everyone gathered, the clubroom's atmosphere grew charged again as Grayfia raised a gloved hand. The portal beside her expanded, its edges sparking faintly with demonic light. "Step through when ready. This portal leads directly to the Gremory territory in the Underworld."

Rias nodded to her team. "Alright everyone, let's go."

One by one, they stepped through the portal. Akeno, Kiba, Koneko, Asia, Issei, Morgan, and finally, Kousuke. For a brief moment, everything was weightless, like falling through a void made of liquid light before solid ground returned beneath their feet.
