Underground Chambers, Main Hall.

A group of civilians holding glasses was gathered around 2 people.

The first one was a pale-skinned man with long blue hair in his early 40s wearing a blue-colored set of armor. He had a passive and strict expression, but occasionally, he would give casual or short and pleasant responses from time to time.

The second one was also a pale-skinned man with long blue hair wearing a blue-colored set of armor, but he was in his mid-30s. And compared to the first man, he was more engaging with the civilians gathered around them.

The civilians were the family, friends and assistants of the rich and powerful customers who were currently attending the Auction in one of the rooms of the underground chamber. And naturally, as the host family, whether they liked it or not, they had to mingle or at least grant the guests some small talk.

"Lord Major Knight Fabian, the next big auction would be at Junus, correct?" a woman with a Verglasian accent asked.

Fabian, the one in his mid-30s, nodded with a smile.

"Yes, Lady Live. After all, it's also the month when we'll celebrate this town's founding week. So during the Private Auction Event, there will be a lot of interesting and unique items," he said and then turned to the man in his early 40s. "Isn't that right, Lord Knight Major Laurin?"

Laurin nodded with a forced smile that looked like it took him a great amount of effort to perform.

"Indeed."

"Will there be items from the Eastern Continent? It's been a while since my family updated our collection from that part of the world."

"Now that you mentioned that, Lady Live, I believe our family must also update ours," a man with an Azatean joined in.

"Lord Edouard, didn't your family just buy one last year? I remember you bought it at Azatean city," Live said.

"You mean the small vase that was personally crafted by a fallen king? Unfortunately, after one of my cousins spotted someone buying a similar vase from another auction -- I believe it was at Unge'fere Town? My father completely lost interest in it and threw it away."

Live covered her mouth with a fan and gasped.

"How unfortunate. Do you know who bought it?"

Edouard wore a sorrowful expression.

"Some Knight-turned-Nobleman from a low-tier Noble family in Unge'fere Town."

Everyone gasped in horror.

"The audacity!" a man with a Verglasian accent said.

"Even my entire family would also lose interest and throw it away in embarrassment if someone with that background is in possession of such an item," a man with a Holinian accent said.

Everyone turned to Laurin and Fabian with a slightly worried expression, and it was Fabian who gave a confident smile and an elegant slight bow.

"My Lords and Ladies, rest assured, my Blauer'nebel family has always prided itself in only providing the best and most unique items that only people of our ancient background can afford and are allowed to possess."

Everyone sighed in relief.

"I thank the Elemental Gods…"

"As expected of the prestigious Blauer'nebel family…"

"As it should be…"

"People of lower status should be prohibited from possessing such items…"

A Knight was rushing towards where Laurin and Fabian were. And when they noticed the Knight, both had different reactions.

Laurin still wore a passive and strict expression.

Fabian, on the other hand, still wore a friendly expression but there was a hint of annoyance. In his eyes, although the Knight wasn't running, he had a worried look on his face and he was walking in a fast-paced without a sense of elegance.

Once the Knight finally reached them, he quickly saluted.

"Lord Knights…! There is a situation at the Third Hallway...!"

Booom, booom, booom…!

Before Laurin and Fabian could react, they heard a series of explosion sounds, and then it was quickly followed by some civilians or guests running towards the main hall in panic.

***

Chak!

Vivian killed the last "heretical slave" and then inspected her clothes.

Well…

Can't do anything about that…

She looked at her bloodstained fists, and the sweet iron aroma made her a bit hungry that she had to swallow her saliva and purse her lips.

But I'm not gonna lie, it felt like being in those classic fighting movies where the hero fights a horde of enemies in a hallway…

Gun-fu is just boring…

There's just something raw, primal and manly using only fists and kicks, or melee weapons…

She noticed Caleb approaching on her right side. And as she was about to call him, she noticed a group that had just arrived on her left side. In the end, she turned to her left.

It was Laurin and Fabian, along with 2 Knights.

The first thing Laurin and Fabian noticed was the mutilated and bloody corpses of the Knights and Mercenaries, before they finally turned to Vivian.

Their gaze landed on her purple hair that had red highlights, making them think she was from the Count's family here in Iron Kingdom. And when they saw the sun necklace around her neck and also the half-mask on her face, that's when they realized she was an Inquisitor.

Caleb finally arrived beside Vivian, and their gaze immediately landed on his Crusader Armor.

"What is Holy Kingdom planning?" Laurin asked in a stern voice, but still wore a passive and strict expression.

Vivian stepped forward.

"I am here to conduct an investigation under the Holy Crusade. But instead of you people, who are part of a Subsidiary Kingdom under the the Holy Kingdom, cooperating peacefully, I am met with delays and obstruction.

"Tell me, subsidiary slaves of the Holy Kingdom, how do you wish to die?

"But before I kill you, tell me where--"

Vooom!

Fabian charged without any warning.

[Mana Sword].

A one-handed sword made out of blue mana appeared on his right hand, and then he positioned it to deliver a horizontal slash.

When he finally arrived in front of Vivian, he aimed for her legs.

[Explosive Finger].

Booo-crack!

When the Mana Weapon was about to reach Vivian's body, she tapped the tip of the blade with a skill, shattering it, leaving Fabian surprised and Vivian disappointed.

In Fabian's case, the moment his sword strike was blocked halfway through, all he saw was Vivian turning into a blur. And the next thing he knew, there was an invisible explosion that destroyed his Mana Weapon and he lost his balance due to the impact of the Explosive Art skill.

Meanwhile, for Vivian, she was expecting Fabian to use a Physical Art in order to test what Caleb told her about blocking a Physical Art.

Chak!

"Ugh…!" Fabian coughed out blood as Vivian stabbed her left hand into his armor and chest, and then grabbed his spine.

"Too weak."

Wooo-bam!

Tang!

She spun around and then threw him against a wall before turning to Laurin.

"Are you weak as well, Aristocratic Noble?"

Laurin's gaze bounced between Vivian and Caleb.

The fight that just happened between Fabian and Vivian, he wasn't able to get a proper look, because he was viewing it from Fabian's back. However, one thing was certain: Vivian had more than enough Magic Force to react to Fabian's speed and also more than enough Physical Force to stab the flesh of Fabian's body without any Physical Art.

Meanwhile, for Caleb, he had no idea if he was stronger, as strong as her, or slightly weaker than her. All he could see was that his armor was still clean.

"I don't know what my family has done against the Holy Kingdom. But for you to do such things, I will defeat and capture you both."

[Mana Shield].

A tower shield made out of blue mana appeared on his left hand.

[Enchant Dark].

A dark and sinister aura wrapped around the Mana Shield.

[Ice Golem].

A 3-meter Golem made out of ice began to manifest beside him.

[Intimidate].

Once the Ice Golem fully manifested, he immediately activated a Class Magic spell, unleashing an invisible wave.

Vivian wasn't affected, while Caleb was, and Laurin quickly took a mental note.

To specific, Laurin's stats was:

• Str - 285 (+60)

• Vit - 285 (+60)

• Agi - 285 (+60)

• Int - 285 (+60)

The (+60) was from his Warrior Class; [Warrior's Body], [Warrior's Mind] and [Warrior's Heart].

Caleb, on the other hand, was:

• Str - 240

• Vit - 240

• Agi - 240

• Int - 240

As for Fabian, his stats was:

• Str - 270 (+60)

• Vit - 270 (+60)

• Agi - 270 (+60)

• Int - 270 (+60)

Just like Laurin, he too had the Warrior Class.

Vooom!

Vooom!

Laurin and the Ice Golem charged; the former aimed for Vivian, while the latter aimed for Caleb.

[Mana Throw].

[Explosive Throw].

BRRR--Booom!

Vivian summoned a giant rock that was about 2 meters made out of blue mana, and then shoved it at the Ice Golem. As the Golem got destroyed, she turned to Laurin, who was moving in slow motion and still heading in her direction.

This one is a bit faster…

But they're still both so slow…

[Power Shield].

Laurin finally arrived in front of Vivian, and then she noticed the invisible force that vibrated all over the shield as he pushed it forward like a battering ram.

I see…

I've been killing my enemies too quickly that I've forgotten the tell-tale signs whenever someone uses a skill…

But I wonder…

Is it [Power Shield]…?

Or [Explosive Shield]…?

She finally made a decision.

Let's just play on the safe side…

Swish…!

She increased her speed and side-stepped. However, as she evaded the attack, the soles of one of her shoes finally gave in, causing her to lose balance for a moment and her eyes to turn wide.

FUCK…!

MY SHOES…!

Whooosh!

Despite losing her focus and balance for a moment due to one of her shoes finally giving up on her, she still managed to evade the [Power Shield].

[Rune - Flash].

Bliiing…!

Laurin, on the other hand, the moment he felt his skill missed, he immediately activated the Magic Item Effect on his right gauntlet, causing an extremely bright white light to burst out of his right palm.

[Zaubernebel].

PSSSHHH…!

Cra-aaack…!

Tang, tang, thud, tak…!

While Vivian's human eyes were momentarily blinded, Laurin's body transformed into a blue mist and then immediately began entering every orifice in Vivian's body as one of his gauntlets split into two and all of his items fell to the floor.

And if Vivian were to describe the feeling of the blue mist entering her body, it was like tubes were specifically blowing soft air into each of her orifices.

But halfway through the mist entering her body, it suddenly did the opposite. It was now escaping her body as fast as it could.

[Cleanse].

Most of the mist had already left Vivian's body. But the ones that were still inside her body and got caught by the green light that enveloped her body, they changed from blue to red as they continued escaping.

"ANOTHER PERVERT WHO VIOLATED ME!!!" she bellowed at that mostly blue-colored mist in front of her.

[Enchant Fire].

Voo-whooosh!

Flames appeared on her right hand as she dashed forward and then threw a punch.

[Fire Body]…?

Don't worry, I still have my [Dark] and [Poison Mastery], and also my [Halo]…

Thanks to the document that Pen gave her and also the document that Craft gave her, she already knew all of the general knowledge of the Blauer'nebel or the Rosa'nebel family Lore Magic. And to be more precise:

Once a Blauer'nebel or a Rosa'nebel family member transforms into their mist form, they become no different from a normal mist.

With Fire spells or just normal fire, assuming that they don't have [Fire Body], the enemy can melt away their mist form, causing direct damage.

With Ice spells or natural freezing states, such as blizzards, assuming they don't have [Ice Body], the enemy can freeze their mist form, removing their ability to fly, and then cause damage by crushing their frozen mist form.

With Wind spells or natural winds, such as strong winds, even if they have [Wind Body], the wind can disrupt or blow away their mist form.

With Dark spells, assuming that they don't have [Dark Body], although it won't cause any physical damage, they would be affected by the fear effect of the Dark spells. However, the enemy's Magic Force should be higher.

With Poison spells, assuming that they don't have [Poison Body], although it won't cause any physical damage, they would be affected by the weakening effect of the Poison spells. However, the enemy's Magic Force should be higher.

And lastly, with the Light spells, assuming they don't have [Light Body], they can be affected with [Cleanse]. However, to be affected by it, they must be inside a target or victim's body, and then have someone cast [Cleanse] on that body.

There are also a few Class Magic spells that can affect them, such as [Halo] from the Priest Class, [Dark Halo] from the Necromancer Class, and [Ballad] from the Bard Class.

Furthermore, there's also the Lore Magic of some of the other families or individuals that could affect them, such as the Wrath family's [Holy Wrath].

Vivian deactivated [Enchant Fire].

[Enchant Dark].

The dark and sinister aura on her hand spread all over the blue mist like a virus or plague. And with each second that passed, the mist appeared to be compressing into a single area.

"AAAHHH…!!!"

When the mist was finally done compressing, it revealed a naked and bloody Laurin, who was writhing on the floor and clutching his face and hair tightly from fear.

The wounds came from his trying to enter Vivian's body, not realizing that her Magic Force was compared to his was too high that there was no way he could control her or even just disrupt her movements, and then getting caught by her [Cleanse].

Vivian gritted her teeth so hard that her jaws started to hurt.

"YOU FUCKING PERVERT…!!!"

She remembered the blue mist entering and exiting her private areas.

Vooom!

She rushed forward.

[Power Leg].

Paa-riiip…!

And then kicked away his head and then turned away, not daring to look at the rest of the body.

I CAN'T…!

I CAN'T COMMIT TRUE DEATH…!

CALM DOWN…!

Calm down…!

Calm down…

When she finally relaxed, she let out a sigh and then deactivated [Enchant Dark].

I smell like food…

The thick smell of human blood, and the mutilated flesh and bones all around her made her hungry.

Her gaze landed on her shoes, specifically on her right shoe.

And my shoes…

It's broken…

It didn't even last 1 week…

She raised her right foot and then removed the shoe, revealing her black sock.

[Mana Leg].

A boot that looked like the one she was wearing when she first transmigrated into this world and made out of blue mana appeared over her right foot.

Tap, tap, tap…

As she was tapping her right foot against the ground to check her balance, Caleb approached her.

"Sister Inquisitor, are you okay?"

"More or less."

A worried expression appeared on Caleb's face.

"What do you mean?"

Vivian raised her right foot and pointed at it.

"Do you see my shoes? It got destroyed."

Caleb summoned all of his strength not to give her a deadpan expression.

"Ah yes…"

Vivian gritted her teeth once more.

"I moved too fast to evade the last guy's attack…!"

Caleb didn't know what to say.

Given Vivian's abnormally monstrous strength, he assumed that she must've spent years of high-intensity training. Because of that, he couldn't understand why she would be so concerned about such things, like having one's shoes destroyed. At least in the Infantry Division, where all of the "powerful fighters" or the ones who are so obsessed with fighting were, such things were of no concern to them. After all, it was expected to have broken equipment, and sometimes even death, during or by the end of a Field Mission.

As for Vivian's battle with Laurin and Fabian, especially the former, he wasn't surprised.

As a "powerful" Priest from one of the Golden families, he was more or less aware of the Blauer'nebel family's Lore Magic.

In fact, in his eyes, the Blauer'nebel family's Lore Magic was one of the weaker ones among Aristocratic Noble families, because it has so many weaknesses, hence why they're only a Baron -- Baron for the Blauer'nebel family and Baroness for the Rosa'nebel family.

And as a seasoned Crusader from the Infantry Division, he has fought way more powerful non-human enemies with stranger or more annoying powers.

So if someone were to ask him who was the "strange" one here, it would be Vivian due to her monstrously high Physical and Magic Force. Because at least with the strange and annoying powers, once you figured out how it works, you could exploit it and then possibly win. But with monstrously high Physical and Magic Force, there are no tricks to exploit, except to meet it head-on.

Vivian pointed at the 2 Knights who were still in shock from seeing Laurin and Fabian, especially the former, dead.

"You! Point me where Ansgar is! I swear to the God of Light, I'll use a Fire or a Lightning Golem to tear everyone and everything in this place down if you don't tell me where exactly he is!"
