Chapter 72 - ch. 72 Vampire Hunter

Nick landed on the rooftop of the Black Iris club, the darkness of the night cloaking his winged figure.

Unfortunately for him, Nick was fighting vampires, he couldn't employ the same tactic as he did with Williams and Russo.

After testing on the vampires who tried to attack him the night prior, his telekinesis had a tough time stabbing through their superhuman skulls, and even if he stabbed something through their eyes, it wouldn't do enough damage.

Only decapitation worked on vampires, even if he scrambled their brains with a needle they'd just regenerate after some time and blood.

'If only I had greater mastery over my Chi, I could've coated a needle in Chi and used that to kill Deacon.' Nick really needed to get a trainer for his Chi, he had plateaued on self-teaching and could only extend his energy to melee weapons.

'I just need to wait until the Ancient one dies, then i can freely go to Bleecker street to learn about Chi manipulation.' After Steven Strange becomes the sorcerer supreme Nick can finally access the New York sorcerer sanctuary.

He didnt have delusions of grandure, he knew learning actual sorcery from the sanctuary would take him year of intense training just to learn the basics. Nick chose to stick with just learning Chi, he already knew the basics and his absorption ability meant his Chi will naturally grow stronger the more he absorbed.

Having known he couldnt rely on his Chi, Nick came prepared, that's why he brought along the large turkey.

Ripping the plastic off of it, Nick sank his teeth into the raw poultry as his Acid Spiders Egg Bite took effect. This ability from the Acidic spider he absorbed was overwhelmingly powerful.

He bit the turkey multiple times and waited fifteen minutes for the eggs to hatch. Soon, controllable baby acid spiders with about one-hour lifespans were born. By then, the drones from Micfo finally arrived, and Nick could begin.

'The reason these Acid spiders die is because they can't survive long without the Mist they were born in. If I can artificially create their dimension's mist... then couldn't they grow up and I'd have controllable massive Acid spiders?'

Nick imagined controlling an army of car-sized Acid spiders that could burn buildings in half! He quickly shook off the silly idea.

'Logistically, it shouldn't be too hard to create a powerful Acid formula and have my drones spray that. The greatest thing about my spiders is their ability to infiltrate, after all.'

After dismissing his idea, Nick hopped off the building and touched the ground with a gentle landing thanks to his Gravity Harness. Over two dozen acid spiders began infiltrating the club through a cracked window while another dozen had hidden themselves in Nick's clothing. His large overcoat hid the spiders and the two machetes magnetized to his exosuit.

Walking over to the hidden back entrance of the club that was in a dark alley and guarded by only one man, Nick didn't stop to talk.

"Hey, ma'am, I'm gonna need an-" Before the man could even react, Nick's hand, assisted by his Exosuit, flashed over to his face.

The man couldn't even scream as his entire body turned to ash and left behind a pile of clothes. Nick's Chi poured into the undead and burnt everything away; this was the effect of pure life energy on an undead vampire!

Looking around and making sure no one saw that, he entered the club, and the faint sound of music became blaringly loud.

Looking across the hundreds of rave participants, Nick felt a chill down his spine as his Echolocation struggled to push through this noise pollution and told him that most of the people nearby were vampires, their hearts weren't beating!

Soon they all began turning and looking at Nick, the enticing scent coming off of him was overwhelming and the vampires were literally drooling.

On top of the giant ceiling, acid spiders began crawling around and following him, ready to shoot out webs of acid on Nick's command. As he walked through the crowd he was finding it a struggle to look around, he was now much shorter after taking on the woman's visage and couldn't see over the crowd.

Suddenly a large vampire with dreadlocks and a suit stepped forward, a sadistic smile etched on his face.

"Who do you come with?" The vampire, attracted by Nick's scent, wanted to know which person invited 'her' in. He didn't care about stealing a grunt's food but if Nick was invited by someone with power, the vampire would be screwed.

"Deacon Frost, where is he, as I'm expected to meet him." Nick's haughty tone made him sound oblivious to all of these vampires dancing around.

The dreadlocked vampire froze, the idea of drinking Nick's blood immediately left his mind as he began escorting Nick through the crowd. They pushed past the crowd of vampires, the dreadlocked vampire aggressively shoving people out of the way, he didn't want to find out what would happen if his boss's food was late because of him!

Walking up a pair of stairs that was only allowed by staff, the Dreadlocked vampire politely knocked on the large office door. A slot opened and the dreadlocked man spoke, the exchange was short as he basically said Deacon's food had arrived.

They waited ten seconds until the large metal door to the office slid open, there sitting at a desk was the handsome man with red eyes. Paperwork was all over the desk.

"I don't remember ordering a woman to come up but I won't reject it, come in." As Nick walked through the office door, he controlled the acid spiders on him to climb down his pant legs and hide.

The doors closed behind him and now Nick was alone with Deacon and two other vampires he assumed were his bodyguards.

"So why did you lie? I never called for anyone, did you come here wanting to sleep with me? Or perhaps you know about us and wanted to be turned?" Deacon's face was full of sadistic amusement, whatever she wanted Deacon fully planned on killing her for lying on his name.

"I actually came for a different reason, just yesterday you attacked my building trying to kill me, so you must die." Nick spoke as if it were a matter of fact.

Deacon's face shifted into surprise and caution, before the man could even speak he felt a burning sensation in his leg!

Screaming in pain both the security guards fell to the floor, their ankles had been completely severed by strings of acid! Deacon didn't fall as he was already sitting but his ankles had also been severed!

Looking down at his legs in horror, Deacon saw multiple thumb-sized spiders scurrying around on the floor.

Unbuttoning his overcoat, Nick pulled out his machete as a look of terror overcame Deacon. With a quick swipe, the two bodyguards lost their heads and died. Meanwhile, Deacon was quickly pressing a button on his desk.

"I have no idea what you're talking about, lady! The only building I attacked recently was..." Suddenly, Deacon had a look of realization; he realized this had to do with Nicholas Valentine!

Before he could speak or write down his findings, a spider fell down from the ceiling and onto Deacon's head. The little spider began shooting its acid downwards, completely burning a hole in his scalp and into his brain!

Nick thought that he was dead but decided to be thorough, his machete flashed forward and lopped Deacon's head off. It never hurt to be cautious.

"This was a lot easier than I imagined. Then again, I'd probably be able to kill this guy with a bit of planning even as a normal human, let alone a superhuman." A veteran Hunter could take on an entire coven of vampires alone. Nick wasn't a veteran, but his enhanced abilities made up for his lacking experience.

Just as Nick wiped the blood off the machete, the metal door began to get banged on and dents appeared in the metal. Nick showed no fear as the door creaked in strain, he controlled the spiders outside to take action.

The spiders positioned over the DJ booth shot out webs, their acid burnt through the equipment as the rave turned silent and Nick's echolocation started working perfectly!

Sudden shrieks of pain began to ring out as Nick quickly opened the dented door, his machete swinging forward before he even looked at his target. The shouting voice of the dreadlocked man was cut short as his head fell to the floor.

'It's been a while since I've actually gone all out, running a business is time consuming work. These vampires aren't much of a threat with Chi, so I might as well blow off some steam!.' Walking back into the office, Nick stuck one of Micro's thumb drives into the computer, allowing him full access to Deacon's computer remotely.

Almost immediately, Micro began draining all of Deacon's money into untraceable accounts. He also began downloading all of the computer's info to later give to the NIA.

As Micro got to work on that, Nick picked up Deacon's head and began to walk downstairs.

The party crowd was getting rowdy, they didnt realize Deacon was dead but the lack of music was angering them greatly.

These vampires weren't like the primative Alaskan Vampires, these one rarely had to hunt for their own food. They relied on these clubs for survival, paying for blood or having someone else lure in humans had dulled their instincts.

The DJ was looking at his equipment in shock, lines of acid had burnt thought the turntable making it unusable.

Everyone booed and hollered at him but immediately stopped as they saw something slammed into the table, the room turned silent as the DJ lifted up the thrown object, it was the head of their leader, Deacon!

The entire club fell into shocked silence, this silence was immediately broken when loud footsteps echoed out. They all looked up to see an attractive ginger woman walking towards them, machetes in each hand.

"Raise your necks for a painless death, flee the building for a painful one." The machetes began to eminate a faint light from Chi.

Some felt fear, and others felt anger. Neither mattered to Nick as he immediately activated his spiders to attack!
