Chapter 502 - Chapter 502: Seal of the Gods

Torches that light against the dark room, stonework lined across a hall. A marking is embedded across the back, the lights left behind as a trail to the area, an alter below it. The flooring still carried the flora behind, letting the Living Tar stay hidden, camouflaging himself within it. "This is Cupid's Magic? A temple?" He'd think to himself. As he tried to turn his attention towards the fighters, he'd notice something: Cupid's eyes were gone. Rather, whatever counted as an iris vanished, his real eyes visible, blind to everything but himself. Lahweh cackled as he'd see such an opportunity, trying to lunge ahead and blast down a mass of steel across the stage.

Cupid, despite being blind, was able to move out of the way, though that only lasted for a moment as the mass of steel molded, sharpening into spikes in order to stab through his body. The Elite would be forced to lean back, a slash against his chest, as Lahweh got up close for a point blank shot and suction, a mass of steel weighing his head back, as he'd begin to absorb into whatever this magic style was. Cupid, in retaliation, used the shift in weight to launch a heavy kick up into his jaw, forcing him to shift his aim, letting his arm be wide open to grab with his legs. While the shot was launched and nicked across Itanos' shoulder, Lahweh couldn't suck in the temple properly, forced to take back the steel and undead flesh, shaking it once more, both as to weaponize it and to get Cupid off of his arm. Once he was flung off, the cloak is fully removed, sucked away and absorbed into the concoction to fire back the spell. As he tried to shoot, however, markings would be visible across the barrel, causing it to clog and get jammed. Enraged, Lahweh simply broke off the end of the barrel and have it come off of his arm, showing his toned muscles underneath. He grabbed the barrel and chucked it across, letting the impact explode and act like a grenade in order to scatter and squash Cupid underneath such mass, before seeing the markings again, now acting as a barrier to surround him.

The Blind Man smiled as he gets up, revealing a secondary coat underneath, though less of an assassin and more like a proper professor, with etches of the Monster Seal on both sides, as well as words inscribed on each. "He will attack first." "He will throw his mixture as a projectile." "He would shoot his mixture at close range." "he will use my magic in the mixture to counter me." "He will discard both Barrels to fight physically." "He will question me." These words written down take up each spot of the sigil, the six pointed hexagram for each corner.

"The hell is all this??" Lahweh asked, as he'd see underneath the cloak his body was stitched together at some point, almost as if he was undergoing lots of surgeries to survive. He felt more like an amalgamation of parts than a standard person, but Cupid was able to answer his question all the same.

"These are the actions that I predict you will do next. This is my own Magic Style: Seal Magic. What you are seeing, or at least what I'd imagine you're seeing now, are the conditions to my own personal seal. It comes up in a quick thought, so don't expect yours to be the same as the previous or the next."

"Seal Magic...? Are you inherently limiting yourself? For what!?"

"Simple. To mark your end."

Lahweh would be enraged as he charges ahead, trying to avoid falling into the next prediction. From what he saw, he would just need to keep his other barrel at all times into his hand, so he was able to set up the mixture to attach itself to that arm, acting as a holster to attach himself and fight without worrying about losing it. Furthermore, he still has the environmental advantage, allowing him to move the mass over alongside him so they can both attack simultaneously, leaving little space available to dodge, especially with his blind sight. When attacking, however, Cupid would effortlessly move through that little space, keeping himself mid-air so he can grab ahold of the remaining barrel and launch a kick across his abdomen, denting it through and forcing Lahweh to be on his knees. Once he was downed, Cupid followed it up with a punch, sending him backwards, whilst trying to tear off his other Barrel, hoping to rip the skin from the inside. Trying to prepare himself, Lahweh would brace such a tear and had his mixture pull himself in and counter with a clothesline, pinning him into the structure of the temple itself, then planting the barrels top against his head so he could be blended alongside the two magic styles. When he did, he'd see the inscriptions shine against the wood, a smirk escaping from the Intruder's mouth. "Whatever style you had, it's USELESS! Unless it can activate from beyond the grave, I don't see a way you can use those markings of yours against me!" He'd state as he'd finally detach his other barrel, allowing it to keep blending, seeing it grow violent with such intake.

KA-BOOOOOOOM!!!!

He leaps back as he'd watch his second barrel detonating before his eyes, blowing up against Cupid's face, hoping such aftermath is nothing less than sludge. "As I said... you WILL be SLLLLLLLLLLLLIMED out, and I shall take up your place as the new elite! You fought well, but not well enough..." The Intruder praised, as he'd turn around and walked away, seemingly assured of his victory.

Yet as he did, a shine began to glint against his peripheral vision, a blink of light that catches his attention, his eyes widening as he'd see the Elite survive the attack, though his face was scarred across, melted into a viscous goop, before tearing off the skin and showing another face hidden inside. The one he wore was a mask, thick enough to block the attack, thin enough to don. His new face is the same as his old ones, like a scab able to be clawed out to leave behind the discarded wound. "You as well, Lahweh. You have, unfortunately, fallen into my trap."

"YOU'RE STILL ALIVE!?"

"My skin has multiple layers into itself, acting as a personalized armor I can remove whenever. The stitching took me ages, but once it was all settled, it was like living within multiple bodies at once. A human cocoon, if you will. Don't think this means you have a chance to win by just piercing through all the layers, though..." He'd pause himself as the Seal began to glow a familiar green, his hair splitting and flowing freely like a palm tree, the winds kicking up and letting the markings in his cloak be carried away. "...For you have already lost the moment you attacked me."
