Meanwhile, as the children were dealing with Deltoro, The Descendants were able to reach into the very core of the Kingdom. Marveling the works of Zazel's Eligos stretching through the earth, they'd see it connect to what remained of Oyama-Don. A beast long since dormant, obsidian as skin with brisk lines of red and orange to showcase such a lava-like star pouring through them. The draconic head of such a beast looms above, its snores echoing across the chasm-like area, its massive arms resting on the ground deep enough to become its soil. The most notable of all, however, is from the massive sundial on its back. Wisps and smoke from what remained of the ancient clock, small sparks floating, ready to ignite when it finally awakes. It was less like a Monster and more a dormant volcano, ready to erupt when the time is right. It felt mesmerizing to see such a behemoth, but Bronx was able to snap the two out once he realized they were being distracted.
As they descended down, they'd notice a few more figures hurrying themselves from the opposite side: One with a gold cane and another with bandages around his head. The two groups saw each other, remaining silent as they understood the slightest change in noise would awake the beast. Once they start to descend deeper, Envy's mind begin to stir, a voice beckoning. "You actually made it. Here I'd thought you'd die trying to reach for such. I'd say I'd be proud if it wasn't for what you'd need to do next..." It whispered, as he'd be quick to hide behind the massive arms that stretched to the cavern's top. He tries to ignore the voice, signaling for the two that someone was in his head. Worried, Tsukiya was quick on finding a Yokai to help alleviate such mental tolls that could invade further. The voice spoke again, more calm than before. "Do you know this is a Monster that could be possessed by the kid? The one that's acting as your guardian angel. Funny how it works, considering this is a beast of Misfortune. Longer you remain, worse the luck. One minute you'd see the place on fire, the next would be a meteor shower at your exact location. It's indifferent, like how every other person is."
"Shut... up." Envy whispered, ducking his head as he'd see the darts thrown across, watching it ricochet and slash into the talismans with ease, quickly unleashing a small mouse with big eyes. A Kodama Nezumi, scampering away as fast as it came, almost acting as a guide for the living Tar to go after, hiding around Oyama-Don's body in an effort to not be seen. The other two would try to intercept, planting Medjed's to barrage in open fire, the light beams silent enough to attack through, while the darts bounced around and trailed after them, being careful not to hit the beast, though they seem to be close to grazing such rock.
"Did you know this particular beast is also responsible for killing a whole sin? It carved its way through an ocean during the first apocalypse, where it fought off Leviathan. Even with the world's waters at its beck and call, the monster still stood. It took a few weeks, but it was eventually pinned down and boiled enough to be struck down and wiped from history. I didn't even knew about this knowledge myself. Had to visit the local museum in the city I'm in to do some research."
"Shut... UP." The longer the voice spoke, the more his concentration was struggling. Axel was quick on pushing forward, Midas in tow. A smile was on his face as he tested his luck, slashing and piercing, trying to reach the slime-like body. Envy tried to make as many holes as he can to evade the attacks, but eventually, it does hit something. The beast groaned as it shifted, the cavern quaking, as the serpentine-like figure was struck. The Lucky Bastard merely shrugged, as he was quick on dashing ahead and keeping the pressure. It wasn't long before Tsukiya sneaked from behind and launched a sweep, tripping over the Gambler, having him toss some Poker Chips to attach on both Descendants. Envy was smart in taking the scabs and rubble from what was once the Monster, flinging them, letting them be substitutes to the Chips as they broke away. The Voice spoke once more, irritating the Tar man even further.
"It all wraps around to you, Envy. The very sin, bested by the beast before us. Can we really fault when History wants to repeat itself? Who knows, maybe you'll prove me wrong and come out of this alive. Maybe you'll finally have a proper sense of self. It won't change what's coming soon, though.People WILL die. It's solely dependent on if you'll be my hand-"
"SHUT! UP!!"
BANG!!!
A pinched nerve, as the Tar Man's eyes widened upon seeing what he did. The beast bellowed out a bloody roar, the body pierced through, like a stepped needle. The Magma begins to crack through, as he pulled his arm back, watching it shaped into a blade in such an attempt. The voice got to him, and only the cackling of the Gambler echoes freely as the Monster's screams were heard as Envy triggered the end. "No... No, no, no, not like this. Why? WHY?! SOZOOOOOO!!!!!!" He'd scream, knowing fully well that it was no use keeping quiet.
Oyama-Don has been awakened.
"HAHAHAHAHA!! I knew there was something fishy goin' on with you, Inkman!" Axel taunted, watching the ground rumble and the sundial catch alight again after its millennia of rest. Even as time passed by so much, the very trigger of its beating heart would initiate the countdown, as 'I' began to appear behind its back. "Well, now! Let's not waste anymore time! Life is a Carnival, and I intend to have fun for the most of it!" His words were a declaration as everyone but Envy prepared themselves, a crack audible from up above, the silhouettes of the children seen through the darkness. Tsukiya and Envy gathered their weapons, whilst Khonum prepared the Medjeds around the Cavern with as much space as he can possibly fit. Axel, meanwhile, pulls out an assortment of dice, some bright enough to be seen in its stark white, some as blackened as the darkness they're surrounded in. Envy can recognize that face the Gambler had, a face that he knew he triggered a potential end for everyone's sake.
The smile of a Madman.
"LET'S ALL DIE TOGETHER!!! IT'S JACKPOT HOUR, EVERYBODY!!!"
