Chapter 583 - Chapter 583: The Bloody Heart

"You've noticed it now, I assume?" The Knight was quick on letting the Jewel take in the environment, slowly adapting its body, and to an extent, its gem. It was growing, energy slowly being visible, wafting around the blade, as it changed and broke down, the sky visible amongst its cracks. It lunged ahead and did a slash, Deflected by Solomon with a Barrier, Light of Sinai coming down to keep it at bay whilst Numbers of God was being prepared. As he did, however, the slash still connected. It did no damage to the area, much less if it connected to them. Rather, however, it warped the space around it.

The Barrier was curved alongside with the air, like a bubble splitting apart from a rushing water. It took upon a new style, lunging ahead to try and part the Biblical Sorcerer's body in the same manner. Zazel, however, took it upon himself to take the blow, creating Beleth to let his copy be pierced, whilst draping the both under Bael's veil, attempting to have the Wax melt around the sword and break it down. Such, however, was useless to the specific area where the blade was. While the sword was coated and sealed, the 'sky' that rests as its hand remained, and it had a clear swipe towards Zazel's arm if it so much as raised it. The Wax was doubling itself in order to prevent the movement from happening, buying just enough time for Zazel to back away and summon Sabnock, letting it charge ahead and create multiple rounds of grenades to blow them both up to smithereens.

As soon as it cut into the machine, however, the 'sky' disappeared from the sword. It was changing shape again.

KA-BOOOOOOOOM!!!!

A Massive explosion, an uproar from the populace in such fright, a crater left behind to show proper damage. Even with such a combination, the sword remained firm. Matter of fact, it grew in size, taking on the Goetia's appearance instead, the screen that once housed wires and cogs for a factory was now void, the jewel still resided inside. It charged up its energy again, a new style adapted into the cannon, taking in the Wax and firing at it like super glue, a wave of white that attempted to snare the children. They backed away and evaded the shots, but it was non-stop. The Gatling Gun acting as its firing rate would inevitably prove too much. Stolas would be the first caught, then Solomon, their arms and bodies stuck onto the tree. Stolas attempted to use a Star to melt it off, but the clone merely took aim and fired more Wax at his beak, sealing it, letting it weigh down and try to break it with the force. "If I were to take upon someone with inherited magic in their bodies, it would not let me use its full extent. That Gem there... that is an artifact called 'The Bloody Heart.' Such a stone allows the user to immediately pick up a magic style and learn its secrets in a single sitting. In other words, what one can spent days, weeks, months in mastering a Style, it masters in seconds. Perhaps even faster, with how much energy has been left behind."

"This is your test. To truly see if you can match the likes of such might."

It was adding up as to how it was able to copy Koina's magic, most likely having to absorb it when gathering energy and weaponizing it against her. Any Magic they do would eventually be returned to sender, possibly in a worse position than before. Yet despite this worrisome weapon, there is a weakness. One that Harvard was able to get upon hearing the Knight's words. He'd rush ahead and try to cast a spell, timing his movements amidst the trees to wait and draw out as much bullets as it can. Such came in a flurry so fast, it felt impossible for standard guns, implying Sabnock must've had unlimited ammo upon summon. He'd look through his chosen card and decided to do a risk.

SHIKK!!!

BANG! BANG! BANG!

Caught, trapped, pinned. The Machine approached tentatively towards the boy, staring down at him like he was prey, a feast waiting to be consumed. "Unfortunate... you don't seem to be as amicable to aid me in my efforts." Eustace would approach just as close, knowing fully well that he has no moves. That was what he thought, until he noticed his hand was severed off, chopped away, most likely from the brutal force of the pin he'd imagine. "Seems you've also lost your hand. I'd apologize in advance, but considering you're going to be a dead man soon, I'd highly doubt formalities would be needed. I do at least want to question why you would-" His words hang as soon as he saw the smile. The Shadow's eyes widened as he'd instinctively jumped back, commanding his blade to follow suit.

Alas, it was too late for Sabnock.

SHIKK!!!

A Slash straight through the blade's edge, his hand scraping through and weaponizing Dragon Nails to break off the metal. Because it has made contact with Harvard's body, the blade would take a new shape. His smile brimmed wider as soon as he'd see Sabnock shrink back down, turning thinner, changing into the Nuckelavee's body. "So that's how it works! It copies what it hits, but ONLY at the recent attack! So long as it draws blood, its gonna take that shape no matter what, huh?" His voice rang true, as Eustace was quick to draw back his sword, watching the Hand continue to its assault, shredding and breaking itself onto the blade.

He'd be forced to dig the blade down and crush the living hand with Dragon Nails in order to prevent further damage from being done. To think he offed parts of his own body for an advantage, his thoughts changes on its dime. This boy may just be a fighting chance to combat the horrors, by using one of its own.
