Just as Lucas Hutt decided to sign the divorce papers, his phone rang.
When he saw it was his mother calling, he hesitated to answer. As the ringing became more urgent, he finally picked up.
"Lucas, I won't allow you to divorce—" Madam Hutt said, but didn't continue.
Hearing the change in her voice, Lucas anxiously stood up, "Mom, what's wrong?"
There was no response on the other end. Lucas's face changed, and he called out several times, still receiving no answer.
"What's wrong with your mom?" Tina Hernandez could tell something was off.
"I don't know. I have to go home." Lucas quickly ran off after saying this.
Tina wanted to follow him, but the staff hurriedly asked, "Are you still getting a divorce?"
"Some other day," Tina answered before running after Lucas.
By the time she caught up, Lucas had disappeared, indicating how fast he had been running.
