Gu Xici finally felt somewhat relieved.
After finishing this call, Gu Xici dialed Zhu Ying.
Zhu Ying's phone rang, but no one picked up.
Gu Xici called three times in a row, and just as he was about to give up, Zhu Ying's lazy voice finally came through.
"Hello? Xici."
The moment Zhu Ying's voice sounded, Gu Xici's brow furrowed tightly.
He said coldly, "Are you drinking again?"
Zhu Ying chuckled on the other end of the call: "Xici, don't be so rigid like an old man. I'm just about to leave the country, can't I relax a bit?"
Gu Xici knew that talking more with Zhu Ying was futile. He had advised her not to drink hundreds of times, but what good did it do?
He sighed lightly and asked, "How are your preparations going? Have you met everyone you need to?"
Only then did Zhu Ying pause and then laugh, saying, "If you don't mention it, I would've forgotten."
Gu Xici felt Zhu Ying was beyond help; his heart which had calmed down was once again agitated by her.
