Dinesh, pointing his index finger at Sam, asked with trembling voice, "How... how can you be here?"
Sam, hearing this, simply smiled and replied, "I was here all along." Pupa's eyes widened in disbelief, "Did you block the passage?" Sam didn't deny anything; he just nodded his head.
Dinesh, a bit slower to understand, soon grasped the situation. His eyes widened as he asked, "Why? Why did you do this?"
Sam glanced at Dinesh with disdain and sneered, "Why? You made me a bait. Can't I turn the tables on you?" Dinesh choked upon hearing Sam's response. However, Pupa, who was quick-witted, understood that their petty tricks had been exposed. He didn't bother to clarify or deny any facts. Instead, he spoke politely, "Brother, you should know that there are no eternal enemies."
Upon hearing the quote, Sam's interest was piqued; he had heard it many times before in his previous life. Pupa's eyes sparkled as he said, "Oh! Why don't you exchange something for our lives?"
