After a simple one day trip we finally arrive at Demon Cliff, we instantly notice a huge shift in the
atmosphere, and it sends shivers down our spines. Once we walked into the clear starting area
of the Demon Cliff we looked around and noticed a huge lack in demons, we only saw some
debris from what might have been a castle, and a few fully intact stone gargoyles.
Once we got closer to the gargoyles, Leon seemed to be uncomfortable. "Hey you okay dude" I
said with a tone of worry, "yeah I am, but I'm almost sure those gargoyles were moving" Leon
said clearly uncomfortable, "moving? Sure you're just paranoid dude relax, let's just get this
metal and leave" Don says, suddenly we heard some stones shifting and some shadows
appeared above us, we heard some growls and looked above seeing the gargoyles flying
above. "I think they're getting ready to eat us" I said in fear, but just as we were about to run,
Don takes out a miniature cannon looking object and starts shooting at those gargoyles "since
they're made of just rocks, then something harder can easily smash them" he says loudly and
with a serious tone.
Eventually all the gargoyles are reduced to rubble left on the ground, "where did you get that" I
asked Don, "oh I made it, I had it ever since the time I was in that dark forest I saved you guys
from" Don said with a smug expression. We kept walking forward and eventually we started
seeing hoards of rogue demons, "ok we are definitely not fighting through all of this so instead
let's just get our dragons" Leon said, but as I was about to summon Furah she asks that I don't
as this place feels energy draining, so I look at Don and Leon and say "wait guys I don't think
we should, Furah said that the place is energy draining, so I think they might be weakened
here". We start racking are brains thinking of what we could do instead, "wait guys I think I have
some gunpowder, if you can get Furah to at least light a small fuse and we throw it over to the
demons they'd definitely crowd it and die in the explosion" Don says with a determined tone.
We go with Don's plan and as expected we cleared a whole hoard of demons in a matter of
seconds, we go over feeling a sense of clear accomplishment, but we almost celebrated too
soon, as we start to feel a rumble in the ground and a huge stone giant approaches, it appears
to have wings as if it's an over grown gargoyle and it instantly spots us.
The giant gargoyle starts smashing its hands on the ground trying to hit us, but thankfully it's
somewhat slow that we're able to move out of the way. "Look what we have to do is find a weak
point like a crack or something and throw something as hard as we can at it, because my
miniature cannon won't do much when that thing is that big and intact with no cracks" Don says.
We start to go around trying to find a crack any opening at all to be able to defeat it, eventually
Leon says that he can see a crack, "perfect now we need a way to throw something big at it"
Don says, "Leon summon Terra for a few seconds, we just need to do this quick so we don't
deplete all her energy" I say, Leon does that instructing Terra to use her magic and throw a
boulder as hard as she can at the cracked area, Terra complies and after the boulder is thrown
she falls to the ground and returns back into the necklace on Leon's neck.
Once the boulder hit the giant gargoyle it cracks all over and starts to fall apart, past all the
rubble we see a chunk of metal ore, "guys I think that's the metal we were looking for" Leon
says, "so the metal was inside that thing, let's take it quick and leave before anything else tries
to kill us" I say clearly eager to leave.
After we left Demon Cliff we were all clearly exhausted and rested for a bit before continuing our
journey back to the town, eventually we made it back to the town and headed over to the black
smith telling him that we need a sword with the metal we got.
The black smith crafts the sword with extreme care and detail making sure not mess it up one
bit, once it became night all the townspeople ran into their houses the blacksmith had just
finished the sword too and we go out with one sword made from the one metal that can defeat a
wraith known as Dirwim, once we step out of the blacksmith's shop the wraith appears in front of
us, we have decided not to fuse with our dragons as to not risk their lives since their essence
gets absorbed faster than humans.
The Wraith charges at us attempting to grab us, but we keep dodging as much as we can and
the Wraith starts going into the ground and going up appearing randomly creating fake versions
of itself and a lot more, "Guys it's trying to exhaust and overwhelm us" I say, "Just keep calm
and don't lose focus" Don says, suddenly it gets a hold of Don, so Leon throws the Dirwim
sword at the Wraith and it let's go of Don, Don starts to cough but grabs the sword throwing it to
me, and luckily in that moment I notice the wraith coming out of the ground below me, I catch
the sword and struck the Wraith in the chest and it falls to the ground disappearing into nothing.
I fall back into the ground exhausted from the fight and so are Leon and Don, "guess we finally
did it" Don says, "we're getting better at this whole hero thing aren't we" Leon says, we all nod
and agree.
Before packing up our stuff and leaving the town, we gave the sword back to the blacksmith and
told him to give it to their town's best fighter, the blacksmith agrees, but then he says "before
you go I will craft each of you a weapon of choice from the remaining Dirwim you acquired as a
token of my appreciation", we each tell the Black smith the weapon of our choice and he crafts
them with extreme care.
Once the blacksmith finished forging our weapons, we each took our chosen weapon, and the
ones we chose are; A sword for me, a spear for Don, and a dagger for Leon. Once we took our
weapons we packed up and went on our way to continue our journey.
