Amelia frowned and eyed the blue fabric. "You'll be missing out, though."
The man didn't even turn around, staring instead at his room for a moment. He scoffed, "I'd rather miss out on some coin than do business with you dogs of Kuroriku."
The peach-haired woman gasped and gritted her teeth. The Queen of Kuroriku was she about to say something, but Amaya put a gentle hand on her shoulder.
Amaya sighed and shook her head. "Let's go. There are other shops."
Amelia's shoulders slumped, but she nodded. We left the shop, the bell above the door chiming our departure.
Raiki looked back at the shop, a small pout on his face. "Why was he so mean?"
"Some wounds run deep, little one," Amaya said, her voice soft. "And some people can't let them heal."
Fariya frowned. "Uncle Jamil has always been like that. He lost his leg and more fighting your people in the last war."
Noel sighed. "I guess I can't blame him for being angry."
