He said all this with a clear tone. I knew who I was looking at.
This was the Logan Hawk, Uncle had mentioned. If this guy didn't belong to District 1, I knew how I might have reacted and would have definitely become a fan of him right now.
The civilians had given their introductions, which meant it was finally our "princes'" turn.
Naturally, the twins stepped forward first.
They spoke together. Our, almost putting up the image of two bodies, one mind, cliche!
"Our names are Kyson and Mason Hawk. We belong to district 1, brother."
"I said one by one. The first mistake. Do not call me 'brother' here. Second mistake. Your relation with me here is irrelevant."
He paused, letting that sink in, as if brothers needed to be told twice about everything.
"I am only a general to you. Understood."
I really wanted to laugh, but I didn't. That general's presence was too much to take.
After the twins, it was Edgar's turn.
Edgar: "I am Edgar Heath."
I clearly saw the general sigh.
"District name, not mentioned. Such carelessness is not permitted here."
Now it's Riley's turn.
"I'm Riley Shade from District 7."
The general just simply heard him and moved to the next one.
Next in line,
"I am Kave Knight from District 8."
No response from the general. At least Riley won't feel lonely in the 'no response' list.
"I'm Jackson Woods from District 9."
Hmm. The General should be impressed, considering the failed attempts by the others before him. Jackson did receive some praise, if you could consider an "okay" praise.
Finally, it was my turn. I straightened my back and spoke with confidence.
"I am Rosen Nightingale from District 10."
The General's eyes lingered on me for a moment.
The guy literally blinked. He looked at my shoes, then slowly moved his gaze up to my head, only to look down again.
The way he was looking at me made me feel as if I were standing stark naked in front of him.
Don't blush. Don't blush.
He finally seemed to come back to his senses.
"I am Logan Hawk. I'll be accompanying you for the next two months. Any questions?"
