Joanna Lawrence and Porter and Kelvin took a cab to the Ripple Pavilion.
As they got out of the car, they saw a group of people standing at the door. The man in the lead, on seeing Joanna, was first taken aback, and then his eyes revealed undisguised astonishment.
The rest of the people also had faces full of amazement.
Joanna, used to such reactions, didn't think much of it.
She followed Kelvin to the entrance.
Just as they were about to enter, the man who had been staring at her earlier stepped forward and asked respectfully, "Excuse me, are you Miss Joanna Lawrence?"
Joanna looked up at him: "I am, and you are...?"
"Hello, Miss Joanna. I am Wally Bott, the general manager of Ripple Pavilion, and I have been waiting for you here."
While speaking, Mr. Bott couldn't help but take another quick glance at Joanna. In his mind, he once again marveled at the sight of such a stunning beauty.
He had seen many beautiful women before.
There were many in the Ripple Pavilion.
