As Ashton Heath held Joanna Lawrence and turned his head, his gaze fell on Annie Lawrence's pale and lifeless face. The warmth in his eyes instantly faded. "You've consistently betrayed Joanna behind her back. I wanted to teach you a lesson, but you've already reaped what you had sown, so there's no need for me to lay a hand on you," he said.
Finishing his words, Ashton Heath didn't spare her another glance, turning his head to whisper to Joanna Lawrence, "We've seen her. There's no need to waste our time here anymore. Let's go."
Joanna Lawrence nodded: "Okay."
She came here to find out what Annie Lawrence wanted to tell her before her death.
Now, she knew everything.
The hatred Annie Lawrence had for her, probably wouldn't lessen even until her last breath.
But all these no longer mattered to Joanna Lawrence.
When Annie Lawrence died, these things would matter even less.
The two of them turned and left.
