Maria shook her head.
She was not a greedy woman.
The severance payment that Frank Parker offered was quite substantial.
The house she was living in was worth at least thirty to forty million dollars.
Plus the bank card he gave her, it was enough to provide a worry-free life for the rest of her life.
"Mr. Parker, I don't have any more requests. But, may I ask you for a favor?" Maria lowered her head, silent for a moment, and then looked up at Frank Parker with tenderness and reluctance in her eyes.
Frank Parker met her gaze, his eyes narrowed: "Go ahead."
"If one day, Mr. Parker thinks of Maria again and wants her to be by your side, Maria is willing to come back to you at any time. I hope Mr. Parker can give Maria another chance at that time."
Frank Parker frowned.
Once he dismissed her, it would be impossible for her to come back.
But confronted with her pair of humble eyes that were full of pleas, and eyes that were very similar to her own, he didn't say no after all.
