Chapter 821 - Chapter 821 : Don't Push Your Luck

Gu Nian was startled by Chu Zhaoyang's sudden embrace, hastily saying, "You sleep here."

As Gu Nian spoke, she pointed to the other side of Little Millet Cake, urging, "Hurry up!"

Chu Zhaoyang: "...*

He dared not disobey Gu Nian's words.

So he reluctantly turned over to the other side.

Although it didn't obstruct his view of Gu Nian's face, having Little Millet Cake in between made it feel quite awkward.

Seeing him like this, Gu Nian felt like dealing with a child.

She knew this man could be difficult to placate when he was in a sulky mood, so she felt quite exhausted.

Sneakily, when Little Millet Cake wasn't paying attention, Gu Nian sent Chu Zhaoyang a WeChat message: "Anything tomorrow, okay?"

Gu Nian really had to muster up courage to send such a message.

Otherwise, dealing with this man when he was sulking would be even more challenging.

Sometimes Gu Nian felt that Chu Zhaoyang's psychological age seemed to be regressing.

The rebellious phase he hadn't experienced during adolescence, the spoiled and willful behavior he hadn't shown in childhood, seemed to be surfacing now.

After sending the message, Gu Nian kept watching Chu Zhaoyang's reaction.

Seeing him raise an eyebrow, his features softening, his dark eyes filled with a smile.

He smirked and sent a message back to Gu Nian: "Really, anything?"

"Mm," Gu Nian replied helplessly.

"A few times okay?" Chu Zhaoyang asked again.

"... Don't push your luck," Gu Nian replied, "It's our wedding night!"

Chu Zhaoyang immediately responded.

Gu Nian rolled her eyes in disbelief.

She could only promise, "Okay, I promise you. We're going out for half a month tomorrow, just the two of us, so..."

So let's not dwell on tonight.

Chu Zhaoyang finally felt somewhat balanced.

Sacrificing tonight but having the next half month together—it wasn't a bad deal.

Little Millet Cake tugged at Gu Nian's arm, "Mom, tell me a story!"

"Don't take too long, it's bedtime soon," Chu Zhaoyang reminded.

Gu Nian agreed and found a fairy tale about a candy house to tell Little Millet Cake.

Sure enough, not long after, Little Millet Cake fell asleep.

Chu Zhaoyang stayed awake, his long eyelashes partially covering his eyes, yet still emitting a glint of light.

Gu Nian put away her phone, bent down to see Little Millet Cake sleeping soundly with his mouth slightly open, almost drooling in his sleep.

"Tsk!" Chu Zhaoyang scoffed, "I'll take a picture of him and show him how silly he looks when he sleeps."

With a sigh, Gu Nian glanced at him and then leaned down to gently kiss Little Millet Cake on the forehead.

"Goodnight," Gu Nian leaned in and kissed Chu Zhaoyang on the lips before he could react, then quickly lay down, holding Little Millet Cake and closed her eyes.

Chu Zhaoyang couldn't do anything with her. He leaned over, lightly kissed Gu Nian's exposed cheek, and whispered, "Goodnight."

Early the next morning, Little Millet Cake was still unable to get up.

Gu Nian was afraid they would leave without a word, and Little Millet Cake would be angry that they left without telling him.

So after packing up, Gu Nian returned to the bedroom and saw Little Millet Cake still sleeping.

Gu Nian kissed him lightly, gently shaking Little Millet Cake awake.

"Mom," Little Millet Cake woke up, still confused.

Just one eye, familiar dream-like soft.

Gu Nian's heart has been called, almost not want to spend this time.

Luckily, she still had her wits about her and knew that Chu Zhaoyang was eagerly anticipating this honeymoon trip. So Gu Nian didn't dare to say anything.

"Mom and Dad have to go," Gu Nian said.

Upon hearing this, Little Millet Cake suddenly woke up.

"Mom, Little Millet Cake wants to go with you."

This request was made earlier when Chu Zhaoyang and Gu Nian were preparing for their honeymoon. However, grandmother advised him that only Chu Zhaoyang and Gu Nian could go on this trip. She managed to convince Little Millet Cake to stay home. However, when it was time to part with Gu Nian, Little Millet Cake didn't want to let go.

Gu Nian helplessly tapped Little Millet Cake's nose. "Your documents aren't ready yet. You can't just come with us. Be good and stay at home. Mom and Dad will be back in half a month."

Little Millet Cake pouted.

"Be good. Half a month will pass quickly. Count the days at home, not how many days have passed, just how many days are left, and Mom and Dad will be back before you know it," Gu Nian persuaded.

"We should leave," Chu Zhaoyang walked over, reminding them.

He glanced at his son again.

This son was simply one of the biggest obstacles to his and Gu Nian's relationship.

There was nothing that couldn't be involved in what.

Couldn't he and give Gu Nian a little private space?

"Mom and Dad will buy you a gift." Gu Nian continued, "Every time we go to a place, we will buy a small gift. Is that okay?"

"Okay," Little Millet Cake reluctantly agreed, whether it was because he missed his parents or the gift. "You can come back soon."

Gu Nian promised to hug Little Millet Cake and then walked with Chu Zhaoyang.

Chu Zhaoyang and Gu Nian's honeymoon trip was to Country Y, a country with quite a history in the West.
