It was like rewinding a time I didn't even want to recall. Every step from that spot all the way back to that filthy mansion.
It is amazing how one can love and hate something so fervently at the same time, it reminded me of Veyron. It was but a small journey: from the place where my despair began, the red port, to the place where my hope adjourned, the Esquivel Mansion.
I hovered from one building to the other, witnessing the illusory images of my mother leading me away from one hellish paradise to a disgruntling reality, seeing scenes beyond disgusting at every corner.
It was like a lawless society; these people were allowed to do whatever they wanted to those 'inferior' to them. I saw torture, abuse and humiliation beyond what could be seen even at the filthiest of prisons, Impel Down.
How unsightly... who would have thought that the slaves in Marie Geoise should envy the life of a prisoner in Impel Down? No matter how much I refused to see it, I just couldn't... I had to as there was someone we were looking for and she could be anywhere. I could try to understand her position, however, as she didn't come to Marie Geoise as a slave, she was taken as some bastard's wife, that status would give her even if just a tad bit of better treatment compared to slaves, but her life must still be miserable.
...
I lost my way a few times, the streets have changed so much since then, almost forty years ago, they now look more modern, depicting an advanced civilisation more than a farm of unadulterated pigs, what it actually was.
I had to 'ask' some people... a young man at first, to a corner, he was so surprised.
"Who are you, how dare you touch me, slave?!"
His voice was as self-entitled as I can remember from those kids back then. His eyes looked at me as if I was less than trash. What sort of dream world do you have to live in? After living out of this hellhole for a few decades, it still amazes me. Someone physically stronger than you, bigger than you, looks intimidating... and yet he has no sense of self-preservation whatsoever?
You don't fear me at all... but you will.
WHOOSH!
I created a blade of sand and cut his leg, splashing blood all over the place as a smile popped up on my face inadvertently when that blood splashed on me.
!!!
He wanted to scream but I denied him the comfort, filling up his mouth with dry sand. His expression changed so abruptly and the tears began cascading so quickly. What a set of worthless tears. I had to resist the urge to laugh as I clawed into his mouth to stop even the least noise from leaving.
'That's right you piece of sh*t. It hurts, doesn't it? I bet you never felt pain until now, you don't know what it is to lose anything, I'll take everything...'
"UHMMMM!!!"
It took me some time, more than necessary I admit, to slice all of his limbs away. I had to calm down and remember the objective I was here for. I had to repress my feelings, for all I know, those knights may have already found me, but no one's taken action yet so it is relieving.
"Where is the Esquivel Mansion...? Tell me and you will live".
"T-T-T-There... p-p-please let me go-"
He pointed a direction to me with his mouth as he had no limbs left to point, all of his body was shaking profusely, perhaps Adrenaline had already kicked in, if nobody found him, he'd die. Once again I had to resist the urge to laugh, what can a piece of garbage like you do limbless? you're better off dead.
WHOOSH!
After cutting his head I got rid of the moisture in his body and dehydrated everything until it was as dry as a desert, leaving no corpse, clothes or even blood to pursue for a culprit.
'H-Hehe... hahaha...'
*sob*
I wonder if my mother is looking at me; I wonder if she's prideful or disappointed in me over what I'm doing, is this vindicating? or is your sacred body twitching in agony? at this point, I think it matters little.
'I've got the disease, mom... and I'm not going to stop'.
...
If Veyron is not going to allow me to level this place yet, I need to at least vent a little... how curious, the more I killed the less I cared about consequences. It was like a feeling of ecstasy that would soon fade, leaving me empty and hollow.
I got lost a total of ten times... and each time I had to ask for directions, I'm sorry Mom, even though I'm following your steps, I still manage to get lost each time... I'm such a klutz.
Eventually, I arrived at that unnerving mansion where it all began: The Esquivel Family Mansion. Now, I have to be careful even before I could go about in my leisure.
There may be a Knight of God in here, or there may not.
She may be slumbering... she may not. But that's not going to stop me from doing what I'm going to do.
'Rosward, where are you motherf*cker...? I'm here'.
I searched the rooms one by one, it was a massive room. The Esquivel Family had many members and as much as I want to massacre all of them, the moment I do so... that woman is going to sense me.
My best bet is that Dragon finds Ginny first... he calls Kuma and Veyron while I take care of Rosward. Once I kill him I'm going to be exposed, perhaps killed, but it doesn't matter... let's leave it at that, as long as Rosward's head falls, I can die in peace. There is a chance Veyron may try to save me, no... he wouldn't... and that's for the best.
I moved from one floor to the other, I never went to that bastard's room, but it should probably be located at the top floor, that said... I still searched all of the rooms. Most of them were empty, it was afternoon, so there was a chance they were all out doing whatever celestial dragons do afternoon.
BANG!
"Ugh!"
I banged against something, something sturdy and unmoving like a wall that had appeared out of nowhere but when my eyes opened, there was nothing there, no wall, no nothing.
'Huh?'
WHOOSH!
I created a blade of sand and sliced forward but struck nothing. I created sand speckles around me to trace anything that I couldn't see... but there was nothing.
'Am I going insane?'
A few more seconds of silence later, I heard a door opening and dematerialised urgently. A maid came out of one of the rooms with her eyes neutral and unmoving, there was no life in there. I instinctively looked inside the room she left to see a gross man lying down on a bed with a set of naked women around him, he was sleeping and the women all looked like they had either passed out, or they were pretending to sleep... one or the other.
"Charlos..." It would be a disgrace to call that thing my brother... it took me a while to decide if I was going to massacre him or not. I decided not to, at the end of the day he's still my mother's son, it won't be me judging him.
...
Without realising when I arrived in the room where I spent fifteen years of my life, the door was closed shut but not locked, I reluctantly turned the knob and opened it. It looked just like I remember, exactly the same, but run-down, it hadn't been re-painted, it was clean but it had signs of decadence and on top of the massive bed, which was exactly the same... there was a little girl with pink hair and purple eyes.
"Ma!"
"... Ma?"
