By the time the two of them got off work, Xiaoyun and Yuqi were both happily holding hands as they exited the building.
Although they didn't do anything 'weird' in the end, they were closer than ever after opening up to each other.
Unfortunately, they still had to separate as they both had brought their own car to work.
When they parked their car outside their home, they were instantly greeted by Leyan, who looked a little intrigued by how close the two were.
"Um, Mom?" Yuqi cleared her throat as Leyan just stood still with the door open, blocking them from going inside.
"Welcome back."
Leyan quickly moved aside, letting the two in as the whole family gathered up from behind to help them carry their bags to the coat hanger.
"Everyone is home so early today..." Xiaoyun murmured as they all took a seat on the living room sofa.
"It's your birthday today. I made extra sure everyone came home before the two of you came home." Leyan answered.
