Long Jing was cultivating the fourth stage, Marrow Cleansing, of the Genetic Evolution Method in a secluded courtyard.
Someone knocked on the door outside the courtyard. One of Long Jing's maids walked over to open it and saw a familiar staff member from the Heavenly Dragon Academy's message delivery room, and asked:
"Is there something you need?"
"Miss Xiao Lan, there's someone outside the academy who claims to be Princess Long Jing's friend and wants to see her. The guard at the gate asked if we should let them in."
Xiao Lan asked:
"Who is this person outside?"
"He said his name is Yang Xiao and claims to be Princess Long Jing's friend."
Xiao Lan was momentarily taken aback.
Xiao Lan had once followed Long Jing to the Flying Leopard Academy and had personally seen Yang Xiao spar with Long Jing; she roughly understood the relationship between Long Jing and Yang Xiao.
