Sienna Johnson was eating a ham sandwich, and it actually tasted pretty good. She took a sip of water and asked, "How long did you spend planning this trip, exactly?"
"I started getting ready half a year ago."
"Just to sleep with me?"
"Yup."
"I'm already your Wife, do you really need to go to all this trouble?" Sienna stuffed a piece of shredded beef into his mouth, then put what he hadn't finished eating into her own.
"A man who schemes and plots to marry a woman home but doesn't scheme and plot just as hard to dote on his Wife is the stupidest of all. If Wife runs away, that's a huge loss."
Sienna laughed. "Sounds like Sixth Master is speaking from experience."
"Of course!" Adrian Desmond looked at her, his gaze full of meaning. That look told Sienna that he was talking about her, this heartless, ungrateful woman.
"Relax. As long as you treat me well, I won't run."
"Do I treat you well?"
"So far, yes."
"I'll treat you well in the future too."
