Jessy unleashed a rapid flurry of punches and kicks against his chest and torso. By the time Edward wiped the remaining shaving foam off his face, Jessy had finished venting her initial wave of fury on him.
Edward effortlessly captured her wrists in one hand, pinning her firmly against the tiled wall.
"As expected of the woman I first loved and the mother of my children," he murmured, his dark eyes fixed on hers. "You couldn't be weak, otherwise I might have doubted my own taste."
He slowly released her wrists and pulled back.
Jessy stood frozen, her chest heaving as she caught her breath. Although she was twenty-seven years old, her life had been consumed by tactical operations, disguise mastery, and raising her twins. She had zero experience in romantic relationships and was completely oblivious when it came to deciphering if someone had feelings for her.
