As he spoke, the air around the room quieted down, gradually becoming still.
Their four eyes met; Lucas Scott stared at him intently, his gaze cryptic and unreadable.
After a long time, Lucas Scott leaned against the wall, giving him a sidelong glance.
"To you, Isla is just a sister. You don't need to use her as a shield." Lucas Scott's thin lips slightly parted, speaking each word deliberately.
Chad Yakov's feelings for Isla were clear to him.
He truly cherished Isla, not for any other reason, but simply because he treated Isla as his own sister.
Lucas Scott could easily see this.
"Uncle Scott, don't trust me so much. I don't even trust myself." Chad Yakov tossed out a sentence, a smile on his lips, then walked toward the door.
"Uncle Scott, you should spend more time with Isla when you can. If I abduct her someday, don't blame me."
