"She was just in the Company, how come she's disappeared now?" Cheryl Thompson's words make everyone remember the newcomer to the Programming Department, Victoria Gibson.
Upon hearing this, the Leader responsible for employee check-ins quickly speaks up.
"Victoria just left the Company, saying she had an urgent matter at home and went back. Her computer is still on. She seemed quite urgent, so I approved her leave."
Before the Leader finishes speaking, Chad Yakov has already lowered his gaze and turned to walk towards Victoria Gibson's workstation.
He turns her computer, finding it indeed still on.
As a newcomer, her workstation was newly added. During his checkup earlier, he hadn't thought about her.
Chad Yakov pulls out the chair and sits in front of her computer, reaches out to move the mouse, and enters the computer interface.
In his eyes, there's a complex flicker.
