"Chad Yakov, let go of me first. The way you're holding me, I can't even speak properly." Most importantly, she couldn't refuse him.
But going home with him for dinner, it just doesn't feel right...
"Victoria Gibson, your expression tells me you're planning to back out, hmm?" Chad Yakov pinched her chin, suspiciously eyeing her unusual demeanor.
Her reaction was within his expectations, but...
"Remember what you did to me last night when you got drunk?" Chad Yakov suddenly changed the topic, his handsome face dropped, looking aggrieved like an abandoned little daughter-in-law.
His narrow eyes squinted slightly, glancing at Victoria Gibson.
"I only had one sip of red wine, how could I be drunk?" Victoria Gibson shrank toward the bedside, retorting without a second thought.
