Keira Leaf paused slightly, then chuckled softly: "I'm not a kid anymore, why listen to stories."
"Don't you have one in your stomach? Maybe it's the little one keeping you awake." Joshua Sulliven's big hand covered Keira Leaf's stomach. Since it was still early, it didn't show yet, but becoming a father once again filled him with joy.
Keira Leaf felt his big hand and remained silent, but the atmosphere between the two eased a little.
Joshua Sulliven lay beside her and spoke softly: "Felicity, can you give me another chance, please?"
Keira Leaf lowered her eyes, hiding the tears in them: "Sleep, it's late."
Joshua Sulliven felt a bit disappointed.
Whether due to the music or sheer exhaustion, Keira Leaf unexpectedly fell into a deep sleep without realizing it.
But she slept restlessly, her dreams filled with the cries for help from Jack and Howard, scenes of Howard being kicked off a plane and Jack jumping down on his own, intertwining in her dreamland.
