She reached out and gently embraced him, cautiously: "I just remembered some unpleasant things, some unhappy memories."
Riley Sully leaned against him, unsure if it was because he stood by the window for a while, his body felt a bit cold.
"Haven't all those unpleasant things already passed?"
She didn't ask further, only softly comforted him.
Shane Winchester lowered his eyes.
They were in the past, yet not truly past.
The thought of her possibly remembering the harm he once caused her made him instinctively hold her tighter, as if afraid she would suddenly vanish.
"Riley."
"Hmm?"
"If... I mean if... I once did something to hurt you, would you forgive me?" Shane Winchester gently kissed her hair, speaking somewhat uneasily.
Riley Sully looked up at him, smiled and said, "That depends on what it is, and also on my mood at the time."
