As she spoke, the man's face flared red again. He awkwardly shuffled closer from the edge of the bed, as if unsure where to place his hands and feet, and avoided looking at her directly, instead focusing intently on a spot.
Aldana Candi lifted her head, gazed at the pale wound on his chest, and gently picked at the soaked scab with her fingernail. Feeling the man tremble violently, she raised her eyelids and looked at Philip Shaw.
"Does it hurt?"
The man stiffened as if his joints were rusted, and woodenly shook his head.
"Freak..." Aldana Candi muttered softly, why tremble if it doesn't hurt?
She poured the medicinal powder into her palm, blew gently on his wound, and said in a soft voice, "It might hurt a bit, so bear with it. If it's unbearable, just call me."
