Philip Shaw slowly put down the potato he was holding, silently watching Aldana Candi. It seemed he saw something sharp on her smiling face. He said softly, "No."
"Hmm?"
"No matter what the situation is, I think it's better to wake up." He added softly to himself, because it means I can see you.
Aldana Candi smiled, a bit indifferently. "The old you probably wouldn't have said that."
"The old me?"
"You did something foolish, got yourself into this foolish state. If the old you knew you woke up like this, he'd probably think it's better to be dead."
He sensed a certain sarcasm and disdain in her words.
