Enna Clark slightly regained consciousness, feeling much clearer, and hastily said, "Baron Lawrence, I'm fine."
Her words only made things worse; as soon as she spoke, the man couldn't control a low shout, "You're crying in pain, how can you be fine!"
Enna shrank her neck instinctively from his shout but didn't let go.
Seeing her pale face and startled look, Baron Lawrence immediately regretted losing control and yelling at her.
His handsome face stiffened as he forced all his anger down, "Let go, I'll get the doctor to come check you. Isn't your stomach hurting?"
Stomach pain?
Enna looked at him puzzled, unsure why Baron Lawrence was stubbornly thinking her stomach hurt. She shook her head and explained, "No, did you say I was crying? I wasn't. I just opened my eyes, and the room lights hurt my eyes, making me tear up involuntarily."
She paused and said more earnestly, "I'm not uncomfortable, nor am I in pain, really..."
