She was gone, and there was no chance for her to return among the living. All eyes were fixed on the scorched earth where the young woman had stood not less than a second ago. Many felt great sorrow over the death of such a beautiful woman. Some were joyful that a beast had been killed by the heavens. Even though the Pillar Realm was ruled by the Sky Wolves, this did not mean that the human and the many other races whom they ruled over were happy with the current state of affairs.
Discontent was more pronounced among the humans. They were the ones who had been at war against the beasts. Even now, the war still rages in many parts of Creation. For a powerful beast to die at the hands of the heavens seemed like the heavens were on the side of the humans, condemning the beasts as evil. This feeling filled more than a few of the hearts belonging to those who watched this end.
