Kai Syaoran was astonished that he could possibly have missed a detail of such magnitude. However, when he remembered the profound evolution Wela had recently undergone, which had altered her bloodline and granted her eyes the terrifying authority to rewrite reality, he calmed his mind and accepted that his own visual prowess had indeed been surpassed by hers. His eyes glowed with an ancient luster once more as he took a much closer, analytical look at the boundless white world before them. He peered deeper into the essence of the drifting souls, until he finally realized that something was indeed deeply wrong, even though he still could not completely perceive what Wela had seen with her newly awakened sight.
