After walking for about another quarter of an hour, they saw candlelight ahead.
But the guards here were clearly much more alert. Before their group even reached the entrance, someone called out, "Who goes there?"
"It's me!"
Tu Niu took the lead and squeezed his way out.
"Ah, Eldest!" One of them was overjoyed. "Eldest is back."
"Eldest, where have you been these past few days? Fourth Brother even went down the mountain to look for you."
"You little bastard, what'd you come looking for me for? Ain't I back now?" Tu Niu stepped up and gave one of the lads a pat.
"Eldest, who are these people?" Another young fellow pointed at Ye Haoyang and the others and asked.
"People I ran into at the foot of the mountain." Tu Niu actually wasn't clear about their identities either, he only knew they were very capable, and that was enough.
The lad who'd asked suddenly changed expression. The grin on his face vanished, replaced by a fierce look, and a blade slid out from his sleeve.
