Those seven words were clipped onto the air, clear enough for everyone in the hall to notice and process at their own, uninterrupted pace.
Elenia wasted no time or movements. She finally stood up straight. Her steps were in perfect synchronization with the king keeping one meter between them at all times.
"... Elenia?"
That fragile voice hooked her glancing eyes. But it only reeled in a humble nod.
No words. No expressions. No explanations… Nothing for Lord Teward Rifton to hold onto.
All staffers backstage opened a path without any need for the order. They bowed their heads and stepped aside with most of them eyeing the young noblewoman.
