No money, No golden finger, no hope for Survival.
After wallowing in misery Bai Hua headed to campus, for the past five days she had been in a daze, the original owner had no relatives besides an aunt and uncle who ignored her fearing she would seek money from them.
The original owner was truly pitiful she was slightly pretty and except for talent in art she had no other skills.
She fell hopelessly in love with Zhou Wei Lin after seeing his good looks and his generosity when it came to spending money, but his kindness was only reserved for Fang Shi.
Even after being rejected multiple times the original owner would only pointlessly find fault with Fang Shi and try to trip her up only to suffer a loss.
When she first arrived Bai Hua was confused and met Zhou Wei Lin and Fang Shi in the school cafeteria before she even said anything Zhou Wei Lin glared at her and Fang Shi scolded her to leave senior Zhou alone.
Thinking about it now Bai Hua felt sick, She knew that to survive these people could not be offended but they still annoyed her, She seriously considered the idea of moving close to someone else's territory to be away from Fang Shi and her braindead followers, but considering hers (Fang Shi) would be the strongest territory and anyone with power would gravitate to Fang Shi she was reluctant to leave.
In this world when a landlord dies their territory loses its magical effect making it as useless as the rest of the world.
If she did move and met a landlord with no useful qualities then what, it should be noted that at some point the braindead inhabitants of this world became fixated on the power of landlords and tried to snatch it, they thought that killing a landlord would transfer the power but instead, the territory collapses.
Only Fang Shi and particularly strong landlords managed to survive the purge.
The problem is those other landlords are oceans away, with only 500 yaun how could she possibly set up shop in another place?
Deep in thought Bai Hua walked into an art history class and walked to the back row, the lecturer glared at her but continued.
As soon as Bai Hua sat down whispers and mumbles spread across the room.
"Pfft Bai Hua is shameless, How many times has she stalked senior Zhou only to be rejected"
"I know senior Zhou comes from a well-off background meanwhile she's a scholarship kid without parents"
"Right Zhou Wei Lin has never even looked at her, who doesn't know he only likes goddess Fang Shi"
Paying no attention to their mocking glances and whispers Bai Hua laid her head down on the desk, Even if there was no need to attend these classes she just wanted to feel a sense of normalcy instead of overthinking in her dorm room all the time.
What was she expected to do, With no credit score or assets getting a loan from a bank was impossible, a job wouldn't do her any good there were only 3 months left before the end of the world, she could try a loan shark but would they even lend to a student? A golden thigh is unlikely anyone worth a damn is infatuated with Fang Shi.
Once again in despair, simply closed her eyes until the end of the lecture.
"Maybe I should just go with the flow and wait for death, if I'm lucky I'll wake up in my bedroom once again."
When the lecture ended Bai Hua made her way back to her dorm, unfortunately, this world was determined to be against her.
She had bumped into the Fang Shi!
The poor female lead was sitting on the floor with teary eyes and a wronged look on her face.
For a minute everything was silent then mindless yapping started drifting into her ears.
"Bai Hua, why did you attack Fang Shi, how could you bully someone like this?"
"It's not Fang Shi's fault Senior Zhou doesn't like you"
After more irritating yapping, a classic scene. of every Mary Sue drama that occurred.
The male supporting character, Zhou Wei Lin arrived.
Ignoring Bai Hua and everyone else the young master squatted down and personally helped Fang -my body is made of glass -Shi up.
"Thank you, brother Wei, I wasn't careful and fell" While speaking her little face wrinkled in pain.
Zhou Wei Lin could see she was holding tears in her eyes and his heart felt distraught, he lifted her intending to take her to the infirmary but being a lovestruck fool he first threatened Bai Hua on behalf of the Earth's gravity.
"No matter what, hurting innocent people because of petty jealousy is unforgivable. Bai Hua this is my only warning to you Stay away from Fang Shi"
Not sparing another glance the valiant knight took his white lotus away.
"Come to think of it that idiot doesn't know the end of the world is coming, pfft his so love but his little goddess didn't even give him a heads up"
In the book Fang Shi's parents own a media company which is worth quite a bit, Zhou Wei Lin's family is quite rich too and the two companies often cooperate and have a harmonious relationship.
Bai Hua clearly remembers the Zhou family only learns of the end of the world when zombies first appear, causing them to lose quite a bit of their power forcing them to rely on the Fang family.
