The initial rays of morning sunlight melted the thin layer of frost covering Bloodstone Manor, leaving countless dewdrops glistening upon the winter grass like scattered diamonds. Inside the dining hall, breakfast had just concluded. Kieran eagerly folded the schedule they had completed the previous evening and tucked it carefully inside a sturdy leather folder.
"I'll follow everything," he declared proudly, looking up with determined eyes.
Seraphyne smiled warmly as she finished her tea, placing the ceramic cup back onto its saucer. "I know you will, my dear."
The little boy blinked, his curiosity piqued by the open morning ahead of them. "So... do we start reading today?"
She chuckled softly at his eagerness, shaking her head. "Not yet."
His face immediately brightened with a different sort of anticipation. "Are we having another cooking lesson in the kitchen?"
