ELLIE POV:
".....ong lady. Young lady. Ellie!"
"Nooo Mary. I still want to sleep some more."
"But we're already close to the school. And besides, I think you should clean the drool that's creeping out of your mouth."
With that said I was wide awake and hurriedly took out an handkerchief to wipe the saliva off my face.
I was too embarrassed to say anything to her. And the worst part was that I could see a mischievous smile on Mary's face.
"Hahaha, there's no need for you to fret over such little things young lady. It's normal for kids your age to drool while sleeping."
"But it's not appropriate for a young and esteemed lady like me to exhibit such manner. It'll bring a bad name."
"Well you got that right, young miss."
From the driver's seat I could hear Alfred laughing heartily.
"And shouldn't you be driving, Alfred?"
"Oh, do forgive me your esteemed highness."
Both he and Mary burst in laughter.
'Laugh while you can, I'll be sure to tell father about this.'
"Oh no Alfred, it seems the young lady is already planning on revenge. She has that look on her face when she wants to do something naughty."
I puffed my cheeks and looked outside the car.
'I'm gonna give them the silent treatment from now on.'
As I looked outside, I studied where we were. We were stuck in traffic in a somewhat less than average neighborhood. I noticed that some of the driver's were so annoyed that they were rapidly honking their car.
I released a yawn.
'Guess I still want to sleep.'
"Hey, what are we doing here by the way? I thought you said we were heading to school?"
Mary raised a brow at me.
"You know, you can be really forgetful young lady."
"That doesn't explain anything Mary."
She looked at me for a while and sighed.
"I wonder where you get all this attitude from nowadays. It's seems those spoiled rich kids have finally influenced you."
"It's not like that Mary. Don't you know I'm already becoming more matured. And father says I should start acting more..... More...."
"I believe the word you're looking for is sweet, right?"
"Mary, can you tell Alfred to stop talking. He's ruining my day."
"Hahaha. Sorry. Didn't know you'll take offense in me trying to correct you your highness."
"Back to what we were talking about. We're here because you're transferring to another school."
"..."
"Did she blow a fuse?"
"What do you mean by I'm going to transfer to another school? What was wrong with my previous one? Oh no, what about my life as the school princess? Will I have to start over from scratch to attain a reputation of authority? This can't be true. What about all my friends? Does father know about this?!"
I threw a barrage of questions not even giving Mary a chance to reply.
She placed her hands on my shoulder and pushed me back into my seat.
"Calm down young lady. I thought you were aware of it. I'm sure your father told you about this."
I couldn't hear most of what she said because of the shock I was in.
'Calm down Ellie. It can't be that bad right? Don't forget who you are.'
After calming down, I glanced outside to observe where we were.
Now that we were out of traffic, I could see in the distance the school I was to be enrolled in.
It was mediocre at best.
*Sigh*
"Well it won't be too bad young lady. I'm sure you'll enjoy your time here."
"I sure hope so."
*****
"....You can come in now."
I took in a deep breath and opened the door.
'Just like you practiced, just like you practiced.'
I stood before a classroom of about twenty kids or so. I scanned each of their faces, trying to ascertain which social standing each of the have.
'Eleven o' clock, a gamer kid. Three o' clock, a group of nerds. Towards my left, a group of fashion girls. At my far right....'
Me gaze landed on a kid who had black hair, black eyes and an absurdly white skin gazing back at me. We locked eyes for a brief moment and when I tried to guess which position he held in the class, I came up with nothing. It seemed like no one even acknowledged his presence.
'Let me guess, he's the weird one.'
"So, why don't u introduce yourself."
Upon glancing to my left, I realized that the teacher was addressing me.
With a sigh, I posed in the most dignified manner I was brought up with and spoke with the most sweetest voice I could come up with.
"Good morning everyone, I'm Melissa Grey, but you guys can just call me Ellie."
"Wow, she's pretty."
"Do you think I have a shot if I ask her out?"
"You wish. With her looks I'm already sure she's been taken."
Different type of comments were being made about me. Mostly about my outward appearance.
I decided to put the cream on top of the cake by adding.
"And I'm also the daughter of the chairman of Toyota industries limited, Kennedy Grey."
"..."
"We've got a princess in our midst!"
