The sound of footsteps was heard. Aunt Camille sat leisurely on a couch that was positioned near a ceiling-to-floor window. With one hand holding a book and the other a piece of green grape, she turned her head to look in the direction of the door that was opened not long after.
There, she saw her blockhead daughter making her way into the room, looking serious with her eyes downcast. A white object was held in her left hand.
After closing the door, she walked toward the couch, taking a seat across from her, facing the window where the view of a parched tree could be seen.
She did not question her, although she was curious as to why she put on a somber expression on her face.
She knew that her daughter was summoned to come to meet the young lady of the de Lara mansion. It was not the first time she returned from the meeting with such a facial expression, as it had been how she would look since she was a kid. But this time, she felt that it was an unusual look.
