"Joel… the babies… I want to see them…"
Joel Russo raised his brows at those eyes of hers that no matter how you looked at them just screamed pitiful, and felt a faint displeasure in his heart.
She'd acted spoiled with him before, but not that often.
And now just to see the babies, with a few stitches still down there, she still remembered to act spoiled with him.
He was not pleased.
"Joel…"
There she goes again.
Joel had no resistance to her like this. He pressed his lips together and glanced at the caregiver beside them.
The caregiver smiled, nodded, and turned to walk out.
Arabella Vanderbilt lit up with happiness.
She grabbed Joel Russo's hand impatiently. "Do the babies both look like you? Or is there somewhere they look a little bit more like me?"
Joel sat back down, stayed silent for a few seconds, then said:
"The doctor said they're very good‑looking, so they must both take after you."
Arabella blinked, staring at him for a long while.
