The maid covered her face, gritting her teeth: "I'm sorry, Young Master Claude, I can't..."
She was a maid of the Morrison family, and no matter what, she listened to the words of this family's owner. Who was Claude to her? He wasn't a Morrison.
Claude grabbed the maid's hair: "Are you looking for trouble? Are you going to get it for me or not?"
Matilda Jenkins came downstairs and happened to see this scene. She hesitated for a moment. She had at least passed the university's English exams and was somewhat familiar with basic conversation. From his behavior and language, she guessed he was a relative of the Morrison family. Taking a glance at the servants hiding nearby, she hesitated a moment then turned to go back upstairs.
She wasn't part of the Morrison family. Even if she wanted to help that maid, none of their own servants stepped forward, so why should she?
