The bathroom door sticks when I push it open.
The music downstairs dulls into a hum.
The mirror is fogged, though no one has showered.
I wiped it once.
She is already looking back at me.

The mask I wore
has thinned, has torn,
overused and over worn—
.
It's the narc tree lore,
Where everyone plays a role
That the narc believes is proof
Of what people are for.
.
I don't know who I am
Or what I want
I had died
I did shed
I died mid-sentence,
No regrets.
.
My left eye is gone
The body is done.
.
I stare and see someone I recognize
Yet is a threat
This imposter is still amongst my bed,
She sits and waits
and wants me dead.
.
She wants to be alive
And live again,
Though she has been shed,
And cannot walk again,
Not even when mother is dead.

(I find myself outside,
where the Earth personality lays,
and bloody leaves sway.)

This imposter was once me,
now I can't trace her memory.
She was shelter, not a home,
borrowed skin,
a place to moan.
.
She was temporary shelter
Now no longer kin.
.
My skin renews—
a lucid dew,
it seals, it shines,
it breaks her through.
.
The bathroom mirror,
Is where I stare
And see these ends
Even when Dahlia has bled —
Dahlia cannot have her daughter again.
.
My skin had cleansed itself
My petals have regrown
Dahlia cannot survive my sunny form.
.
I wonder where this imposter has gone,
What had that human done?
.
She enabled Dahlia
And became her receptacle,
sabotaged the whimsical.
.
Now, she doesn't bow,
Nor does she scream,
Because her left eye shines,
Even in the purest light ----
she accepts that darkness exists
and she must conquer it.
.
She has moved past it
And will heal,
Soon, no one will recognize the dame,
Because she doesn't weep;
Weeds are pulled and regrow
Which shows Daisy's life cycle.
.
Her masks will fade,
And she will be made ----
To be a heroine from the cows and maids,
And survived the serpents name
Into one who can never be tamed.
