As we were making our way back to the hall where I was introduced to the wyrm elders, I asked Professor Sageira for a check-up and to drain the blood sloshing around in my skull, and as she did so, I spent that time mentally translating the title, or more accurately, the bloodline name I have been given.

Vrauhl'draakth, when its meaning is taken literally, translates to The Flesh-Wyrm, which, I mean, yeah, it is technically correct when you compare me to every other wyrm in existence, who are scaled reptiles. But when putting the wyrm's language culture into perspective, it is more accurate to translate my bloodline's title to The Man-Wyrm.

Not that I am complaining, I could have been given a worse name, like Soft Skin or something equally insulting in wyrm culture.

As I sat next to Professor Sageira while waiting for the rest of the elders to file in, I asked her what we were doing here, and she reminded me that we still had the matter of the [World's Weight] spell.

She had talked privately with King Brakkh'zhaarn and told him of my spell. Sure, they knew the basic concept of gravity, but did not have a word in their lexicon for it. Gravity was just something that was, and never needed a word for it.

But now that they knew that it was a natural force that could be manipulated with their magic, they wanted to take a chance to get a taste of that magic so that they could come up with a single, simple word to make it as easy to say as [Fire], [Water], [Earth], and [Air].

"But I still don't understand why you need me around for this. You know the words to use, and I am sure all these alder wyrms have a basic concept of what gravity is. What goes up must come down." I whine, no longer wanting to be the center of attention for many of the old monsters that were most likely over a thousand years old.

"True," she nodded her head, "But when creating a new word of power, it helps to not only know the starting words, but to feel it with our bodies and senses truly, to feel how the world bends to make the will of your words reality. And since you are the one who founded the words, you are the best person to cast it so that the elders feel it and come up with a word for it."

When the elders were all settled, I was once again standing in the middle of the hall, surrounded by the elder wyrms.

[Well, this has been a most eventful day.] King Brakkh'zhaarn chuckled. [The inclusion of a new bloodline, along with bringing a new word into our lexicon. What a time to be alive, and a great time to be the king!]

He then focused on me. [Come, young Vrauhl'draakth, say the words of power, and burn yourself into the annals of our history.]

I nodded and looked around to mentally calculate how much ground my spell would need to cover. When I last used it on Professor Sageira, I just needed to focus [World's Weight] on her. Now, I needed to cover a whole gigantic hall. The upfront cost was going to be heavy.

I took my time to center myself as I focused my will and mana, before stretching my arms out and saying the words.

[World's Weight]

Within the span of a couple of seconds, more than half of my mana was sucked out of my body to twist reality to my will. The sudden expenditure of my mana, especially after the exhaustion of fighting Druuv, made my knees wobble like jelly.

When I felt my spell take hold of the hall, I slowly lowered my hands. The moment I did, I heard grunts and growls come from those in attendance as the gravity in the hall increased, which can't be nice for a bunch of multi-ton wyrms in attendance.

A few seconds after increasing gravity, I felt the density of mana in the hall skyrocket as every wyrm performed Mana Infusion to strengthen their body to withstand their now multiplied weight.

I could have increased the gravity, but this was just a demonstration, and I did not want to harm any of the elders… maybe just Gravaxthuur and his crew, but that would be the same as cutting off my nose to spite my face.

As the wyrm elders were under the influence of [World's Weight], they started repeating the words like a chant as their heads swayed.

After a few more seconds, I turned my outstretched hands palms up and started raising them, and as I did, the gravity gradually lessened to the point that it normalized. To emphasize the point of what was about to happen, I hopped off the ground, not with the power of my whole legs, but with just the power of my feet.

Needless to say, I did not make it more than a few inches off the ground. But as I raised my hands even further, the gravity lessened, and I hopped with my feet again, taking me just over a foot off the ground.

I repeated the same hop, the higher my hands were raised, until I reached the same gravity as the moon back in my old world. My simple hop brought me multiple feet in the air, and I could see many wyrms doing the same as they hopped around with joy at the lightness of their bodies.

When I touched down on the ground, I turned my palms down and slowly lowered my arms. The wyrms felt the weight of gravity tighten its hold on them once again, and they got to the ground, widened their stance, and braced for the increased pressure.

For the next few minutes, as my hands went up and down, so did the gravity. And as it happened, the wyrm elders' chanting of [World's Weight] started to warp and change, and as it did, the spell [World's Weight] that I had kept focused in my mind started to become fuzzy, but even so, the spell did not seem to be disrupted, but like the changing chant, the spell in my mind was starting to change, and i could hear the faint whispers of a new word starting to take form in my mind.

An hour later, as I felt my mana almost bottoming out and my strength starting to fail, I felt the new word for [World's Weight] catch fire in my mind, searing itself into my mind, and I instinctively knew that every elder in the hall was experiencing the same thing.

The Dragon Tongue word for [Gravity] was born.
