The Book of Knowledge looked at the wretched-looking Book of the Future sympathetically, saying, "Luckily the Dream Realm shielded it a bit, otherwise the whole book would have been burned."
Nearby, Asa sneered coldly, "Stop pretending. You knew well that the Dream Realm couldn't completely fend off the backlash, deliberately forcing it to foretell a future it couldn't see, using the hand of God to eliminate your enemies. You've always been so calculating, Adorlis."
The Book of Knowledge retorted angrily, "I merely operated without correction. The Dream Realm is far from its strongest state and cannot shield it from the direct backlash of perceiving the gods… My position within the Dream Realm is unshakable; do I really need these underhanded tactics?"
Asa scoffed without responding, instead spreading his arms and sighing with intoxication.
