Chapter 945 - 945 Cyberpunk: A Crazy Family, Anger, Shame, and Joy: Rebecca, First Conflict with 6th Street, and Against the 2300 Gangs.

Rebecca's current apartment was small, but it had a bedroom for Rebecca, a bathroom, and a room that served as the living room, dining room, and Pilar's bedroom all at once.

Allen noticed several weapons scattered around the place, some covered in dried soda, others in some unknown liquid. Considering what Pilar had been doing when they arrived, Allen didn't dare speculate what the hell had stained the revolver on the couch.

There were some beer cans on the floor, along with bags of junk food, a few cigarette butts, spent casings, specialized tools for repairing weapons and implants, and some other things.

The place was dirty, but it was also the hideout of two Night City mercs.

As for Pilar, he was fairly tall, thin man. He had abnormally large hands with long fingers that were clearly cybernetic implants.

Pilar's brown hair was styled in a punk fashion, he had a trimmed beard, and he wore a pair of sunglasses despite being indoors.

He looked relatively identical to his Edgerunners version despite this being three years before the beginning of the story. However, he lacked his characteristic elongated arms and the visor resembling Marvel's Cyclops that he should eventually have. But this was obvious; just like Maine, he hadn't gotten those implants yet.

What was similar to his future version was his preference for wearing a small vest without a shirt.

"..." Allen returned to reality when he heard another scream from Rebecca.

"I'm going to kill you!"

Rebecca punched her brother repeatedly in the face while he could only scream in desperation.

"Goddammit, since when did you get so strong?! Is it the hormones?! Did finding some guy who likes a woman flatter than a board awaken some kind of power?!"

Allen had to admire Pilar. Despite having a swollen cheek and blood coming from his mouth and nose, the guy never stopped provoking Rebecca, earning himself more and more punches.

Was this a normal relationship between siblings?

As an only child, Allen didn't have much experience with this kind of relationship. Even with Robin, he hadn't spent enough time with her to know what it was like to have a real sister.

Rebecca grabbed Pilar by the neck and threw him against the wall. "Who are you calling small breasts?!"

"Ugiaaa!"

Pilar slammed into the wall like a squashed frog, letting out a comical scream before landing on his head. But despite the pain and discomfort of being stuck upside down, he didn't stop cursing at Rebecca.

"Insensitive bitch!... Of course I'm talking about you!... Hm?!"

Pilar stopped speaking halfway through his sentence. Slowly, he turned around and looked at Rebecca as if he had seen a ghost. He stood up and removed his sunglasses.

He approached Rebecca as if he were seeing her for the first time, analyzing her like a stranger for several seconds.

Neither Allen, Lenalee, nor the Chat understood what was happening. However, there was someone who apparently did. Rebecca went pale under her brother's gaze.

"Becca, you... you got boobs im––"

Before he could finish, Rebecca kicked him in the balls, a blow that was felt by the billions of gentlemen in the Chat. Even Allen wasn't spared, as he looked away as if he were watching a fellow soldier fall in battle.

"It's not like that..." Rebecca muttered.

"..." Allen looked at her without understanding.

"It's not like that!"

Rebecca screamed and ran into what should have been her bedroom before slamming the door shut.

"What?" Allen blinked, unable to understand the situation.

Albedo – Kukuku...

Allen narrowed his eyes when he saw Albedo's comment. "Is something wrong?"

Albedo – Oh, nothing important. It's just that the most blatant lie that bitch has ever told finally fell apart!

"..."

Albedo – Allen-sama, it's natural that you didn't notice. After all, that shameless lunatic is clinging to you all the time, but I noticed. It was subtle, very subtle, in fact. That girl thought nobody would notice, but she's been increasing her height!

MJ – What?!

Felicia – Seriously?!

Gwen – No way...

"...?" Allen frowned and remembered Rebecca, every detail of her body. After all, he knew her better than anyone, and as he did, realization struck him like lightning. "...!"

Albedo – Haha, she was very careful, careful enough that nobody who saw her regularly would notice. That's right! That girl has subtly increased her height, her breasts, and her butt in the most shamelessly and pathetically way possible! Haha!

Allen staggered. Now that he thought about it, it was true that compared to the Rebecca he had met at the beginning, she was about five centimeters taller, but he had never noticed.

He knew Rebecca had a complex about her height and her chest. He had known for a long time. He had repeatedly told her that he didn't care, that she was fine the way she was, and that she didn't have to change herself to make him like her.

She seemed happy, and since Rebecca simply stopped mentioning it, he assumed she no longer cared about it.

But that wasn't the case...

When?! How?!

No, he knew the answer. Dolls had the ability to alter their bodies at will. Increasing their height was simple. The absurd part was that nobody had noticed. Judging by her current height, she must have increased it by roughly one centimeter per year. That's one millimeter a month. What patience!

As for her chest, it was true that Rebecca had been an A-cup, practically nonexistent, but now she was a B-cup, even close to a C-cup. That made no sense. Rebecca had already been an adult when she became a Doll, so she shouldn't have continued growing, yet her breasts had grown.

Allen slapped his forehead. That wasn't even the most ridiculous part, because neither her chest nor her height had been what increased the most. It was her bakery, which had grown shamelessly... Well, Allen wasn't complaining. Or perhaps deep down, he had always known, but his baser instincts had prevented him from thinking about it?!

Albedo – It's over! Now suffer! Hahaha– (disconnected)

The Chat fell silent when Albedo abruptly disconnected. Then, after a minute, Rebecca came out of her room while wiping her hands, which apparently had bloodstains on them.

"Rebecca..."

"What?" Rebecca asked with a creepy smile.

Allen decided that, for everyone's sake, it was better to forget the subject. As for Albedo, well, being a Doll meant she wouldn't die as long as Allen didn't die.

....

"So, in summary... what?" Pilar said as he picked a booger out of his nose.

Once everything had calmed down, Rebecca proceeded to explain where she had been these past few days. Of course, it was all a lie. She wasn't about to tell him that she had been killed in the future, transformed into a different entity, and traveled through a bunch of worlds before reaching this one and rewinding time.

Not even a Cyberpsycho would believe something that crazy!

"Fuck!" Rebecca exclaimed, feeling like she was talking to a wall.

Allen felt tired. He thought it had been a bad idea to let Rebecca try the excuse.

According to Rebecca, she had gotten into trouble after shooting an Arasaka corpo in the crotch. They had chased her; she had taken several bullets, and when she thought she was going to die, her knight in shining armor appeared and saved her. The two fell in love while escaping the clutches of evil like they were characters in a cheap soap opera, and now she had returned to introduce Allen to her older brother.

"So, in summary, you fucked my sister, and now she's your girl?" Pilar asked.

"Yes," Allen said without shame. After a moment, he understood what kind of person Pilar was, and it was better to keep things simple.

"Buahahaha!" Pilar laughed as he rolled around on the couch. "I didn't think anyone would actually want this aggressive gremlin and her no bo–"

Rebecca punched him and knocked out one of his teeth.

"Die!"

"Ahhh!"

A few minutes later, Rebecca took Allen to the refrigerator and offered him something to drink while she regained her composure.

Despite the irritation she had felt and all the commotion, she couldn't help looking at her brother with a faint smile.

"Are you sure you won't tell him the truth?" Allen asked.

"Tell him what?" Rebecca smiled. "That in three years a Cyberpsycho will blow his head off, and a year later Adam Smasher will turn me into paste?"

"I won't let that happen," Allen declared with a cold glint in his eyes.

Rebecca smiled before moving closer to Allen's chest, leaning against him and giving him a coquettish smile.

"You know, right now I feel really❤️..."

"Hey, you two!" Pilar shouted as he walked toward them intimidatingly, placing his hands on Allen's shoulders.

Another person might have been frightened, since Pilar was a fairly strong merc, but Allen didn't react. There was no need to fight, and besides, he had no intention of doing anything in this tiny apartment.

"Exactly, if you're gonna do it, make it loud!" Pilar exclaimed.

"Don't worry, I understand... huh?"

Pilar smiled vulgarly. "Of course there's no other way to do it than making as much noise as possible! Besides, if you don't make her scream, how are the neighbors supposed to know that this crazy girl actually got herself a boyfriend?!"

Rebecca punched Pilar in the stomach. He fell to the floor, but she mercilessly began stomping on him.

"You fucking bastard! And I was worried about coming back?! Goddammit, this time I'll blow your head off myself!"

"Ah! Wait, Rebecca! I'm gonna die, I'm really gonna die! Ah!!"

Allen sighed, not knowing what to say. How should he put it? Beautiful Rebecca had far exceeded his expectations.

*Steps*

Allen frowned. "Rebecca, we have company..."

In the hallway, quite a footsteps could be heard in the distance, all of them coming toward this apartment.

"A..."

Rebecca remembered what had happened with The 6th Street gang when they arrived. She grabbed Pilar by the neck and began shaking him.

"Hey, stupid brother! What the hell did you do this time?!"

"Me?!" Pilar snapped. "You're the one who always screws up the jobs!"

"Huh?! Then tell me why 6th Street wants to grease your ass with vaseline!"

Pilar fell silent and looked toward a corner. There were three large military crates there.

"Maybe it has something to do with those..."

Rebecca pulled out a pink-and-green pistol and pressed it against Pilar's head. "You're always the one saying we shouldn't get tangled up with gangs. What the hell did you do?!"

"I had no choice! You disappeared, and I was the only one; I had no way of finding you!"

Despite being a son of a bitch, Pilar cared about his sister. He knew they lived in a place where either of them could die at any moment, but until he saw his little sister's corpse, he wouldn't give up. So he accepted something he normally wouldn't: taking jobs for 6th Street and asking their more than 2,300 members for help searching for Rebecca.

"Aniki..."

Rebecca's eyes widened. She hadn't expected that answer. She smiled kindly for a moment, but immediately put the gun back against Pilar's head.

"Then why were you masturbating?" Rebecca asked with danger in her eyes.

"Hey, wait! They were already looking for you, so I had some free time. I decided to try out these beauties!" Pilar said while spinning his hands.

Saya – He's just a degenerate -_-

Natasha – One who cares about his little sister, but a degenerate nonetheless.

Rick – Stupid *burp*, they tricked him!

"Hey, Pilar, where did these weapons come from?" Allen asked, though deep down he could already anticipate what had happened.

Pilar coughed. "Well, I stole them from the Valentinos..."

Rebecca's eyes widened before she headbutted Pilar.

"Argh!"

Allen smiled amusedly. "I see. 6th Street doesn't get along with the Valentinos, to the point that they'll screw them over whenever they get the chance. However, because of those disputes, they're always keeping an eye on their movements. Then along comes a merc willing to do their dirty work just to find his little sister. They ask him to do something as simple as stealing a shipment of weapons from the Valentinos. The older brother does it, then they eliminate him, keep the weapons, and screw over the Valentinos without breaking a sweat. That's what happened, isn't it?"

Pilar stared at Allen in disbelief. "Holy shit, your man is incredible, but how did you know?!"

Allen shrugged. "Well, that's what they're saying right now."

The moment he detected them, Allen scanned through the wall and hacked their communications. It was simple for the level of cyberware he had.

"Shit!" Pilar exclaimed, furiously getting to his feet.

"The worst part is that they weren't even looking for Rebecca," Allen said, shaking his head.

"That's true. Those bastards saw me and didn't react, which means the 'General' never told them to look for me. The people in this world fucking suck!" Rebecca growled as she held Guts, her shotgun.

"Well, what can you do?" Pilar laughed before walking over to the three military crates and opening them.

The first contained two dozen black shotguns lined up one after another.

The second contained the same thing, but with revolvers, while the third was filled with ammunition.

"Well, lil' bro, welcome to the family. What do you think?" Pilar asked with a grin.

Allen scanned the weapons.

– "Tactician M2038" Shotgun

Range: Short

Rarity: Uncommon

Condition: New

Price: €$4,500

– "Nova DR5" Revolver

Range: Short/Medium

Rarity: Uncommon

Condition: New

Price: €$3,500

"No wonder they want to kill you," Allen said. "Fresh from the factory and almost at full retail price. At least two hundred thousand dollars' worth."

Pilar froze.

He was in deep shit!

It's easy to figure out what happened. The 6th Street Gang had found out that Rebecca had returned and immediately acted, thinking they might lose these weapons if they lost the only reason Pilar had stolen them from the Valentinos.

"Whatever," Allen shrugged as he grabbed the revolver. He walked over to the ammunition crate, grabbed several loaded revolver cylinders, and tucked them into his ammunition belt, which Pilar didn't know where it had come from. He smiled without the slightest hint of fear despite knowing that two of Night City's most dangerous gangs probably wanted them dead. "I guess the move is happening sooner than expected."

"Rebecca," Pilar said beside his sister, "I like your man."

"Heh."

....

Outside the apartment were thirteen 6th Street gangers armed with automatic weapons, ready to blast their way through Pilar's apartment door.

"Shit, why did that brat have to come back right now?!" one of them cursed.

Although they were confident they could kill Pilar, the guy was a merc. He wouldn't go down without taking several of them with him in a prepared fight, something that could have been avoided if Rebecca had taken just one more day to appear.

The leader signaled one of his men. As Rebecca had already said, this gang was founded by veterans of the Fourth Corporate War, so unlike other gangs, they could operate like an assault squad when necessary.

There was a lot of money in weapons inside. If Pilar committed suicide by blowing up the apartment with explosives, all that money would be lost, so they chose a more tactical approach.

The chosen ganger approached the door and pressed his ear against it.

The leader prepared to give the signal, unaware that one of his men was standing nearby and appeared to be suffering from a nervous tic.

Without warning, the ganger raised his shotgun, aimed it at his leader's head, and fired.

Blood splattered across the wall, painting everything red.

"What the fuck?!"

"What are you doing?!"

The other 6th Street gangers were in shock at the sight, but the man wasn't finished. He shot another one of them.

The buckshot fired at point-blank range tore through his chest regardless of his vest and knocked him down.

"Shit! Kill him!"

The others opened fire, riddling the traitor with bullets as he simply laughed.

Before they even saw Pilar and Rebecca, they had already lost three men!

...

Inside the apartment, Allen wore a faint smile. He was responsible.

[Cyberpsychosis]

This quickhack induces a state similar to Cyberpsychosis, causing the target to kill allies and enemies or commit suicide if there are no targets. It's terrifying, and it can only be used with a high-end cyberdeck that almost nobody has, but the effect is incredible.

Pilar, who had heard the gunshots and screams, was surprised that Allen could do this. The Netrunners he knew stayed in chairs or bathtubs while connecting to the Net. They didn't walk around the streets spamming hacks at people. No, most couldn't perform quickhacks because they required a high-quality cyberdeck, something ordinary mercs couldn't afford.

"What are you waiting for? Let's go!" Allen said, being the first to leave as he kicked down the door.

He immediately shot one ganger in the head and another in the chest from farther away.

Everyone tried to aim at Allen, but before they could, Allen grabbed one of them by the face and used him as a shield.

The bullets slammed into the human shield, and Allen took advantage of the opening to shoot two more men.

"Wasn't your boyfriend a Netrunner?!" Pilar shouted when he saw Allen single-handedly slaughtering the 6th Street members, and he wasn't even doing it with implants, just sheer precision.

"He is," Rebecca said with a smile before running. She jumped, pushed off Allen's shoulder, and launched herself over the enemies. Before they could react, Rebecca blew one man's head off and kicked another hard enough to break his neck.

"Die!" one of them shouted, pointing a pistol at Rebecca. But when he fired, his weapon exploded, destroying his hand. "Ahhhhh!"

"Hey, do you know whose girlfriend you're pointing that at?" Allen mocked.

"Thanks, I love you, darling~" Rebecca said before blowing the head off the man who had tried to grab her.

"Shit, don't leave me behind!" Pilar shouted and ran between the two at incredible speed. A frightened ganger fired his pistol, but none of the bullets hit Pilar. He pierced the man's head with his long fingers, now transformed into claws.

"What the hell is wrong with these guys?!" the last ganger shouted before backing away in fear.

This wasn't a game where NPCs mindlessly charged toward their deaths. Seeing such a terrifying trio would scare anyone.

Rebecca looked at Allen. He shook his head. He didn't like killing people who didn't want to fight, and Rebecca didn't either. However, Pilar wasn't like them. He clenched his metal fist and struck the ganger with such force that his head exploded against the wall, even creating a hole.

"That's what you get for tricking me, bitch!" Pilar shouted.

Allen shrugged while Rebecca sighed. The people of this world had their own problems and ways of thinking. Allen wasn't going to become a moralist or impose his way of thinking on a world like this.

....

A man dressed in military clothing with implants in his arms cursed as he smashed a desk.

"That bastard Pilar was waiting for us! He wants to keep my weapons!" This was "General" Rick Morton, the current leader of 6th Street.

Standing in front of him were three other men dressed in tactical clothing. Among them was a Caucasian man with yellow glasses. His name was Will Goner, who, despite being a leader during V's era, was now just another man under the General.

"What are you waiting for? Go! Kill them!" the General shouted.

Many men and women climbed into their jeeps and trucks before heading out.

"I don't want those two siblings leaving Santo Domingo! Do you hear me?!"

A dozen vehicles departed, a force that would frighten even the Night City Police. But this was normal. Remember, the 6th Street Gang had 2,300 members!

Only a madman would pick a fight with a gang that large.
