Chapter 9 - Chapter 8

Anna Kushina: You know, I have this feeling that something is missing in this fight.]

[Kaede: I feel the same way...]

[Inori: Is it the background music (BGM)?]

[A2: Hang on, let me add that.]

[Ding, group member A2 uploaded the MP3 file "Wildfire," and the MP3 audio file started playing automatically.]

The added background music intensified the battle, and passionate lyrics filled the air.

"Wrapped in the biting wind~"

With the BGM in place, the fight took on a more intense vibe.

[A2: Now, it feels just right!]

[Anna: Although it's definitely cooler with the music, what I actually want to know is, where's the creation engine, and what are you doing, Adonis?]

[Shiina: Yes! @Great Guardian Adonis, why aren't you helping in the fight?]

[Adonis: I'm just here to watch the show.]

[Inori: Everyone else is fighting, and you're not helping?]

[Kaede: "."]

[A2: You're the Great Guardian; even if you don't have combat abilities, you can wake up the creation engine to assist, right?]

[Adonis: I believe they don't need help.]

[Inori: I want to see the creation engine…...]

[A2: It is obviously just an infrastructure robot, but the huge size and sense of oppression are still shocking, and the level of science and technology during the Jarlio-Vi from before is really terrifying.]

[Anna Kushina: Speaking of which, isn't there such a huge robot in the world where sister A2 lives?]

[A2: Yes, but it is far less sophisticated than the creation engine.]

[Shiina: Guys, let's just watch the show TT]

[A2: In a sense, this battle really does not need Adonis, and on their side, they're doing a good job.]

Returning to the main battle, Richie, despite gaining explosive power from the Stellaron, was completely helpless against the five. He had not been a fighter originally, so he had many openings the five could exploit.

March and Bronya served as support, responsible for remote jamming. If any member was in trouble, March or Bronya would quickly interfere by firing a bullet or arrow to provide cover.

Dan Heng and Seele used their swift and agile movements to flank Richie and inflict damage from the sides.

Stelle, the Galaxy Baseball Woman, had the task of piercing Richie's armor and the various icicles he created, creating better opportunities for Dan Heng and Seele.

However, Richie was gradually adapting to the powers of the Stellaron.

"Die! Sufferance!"

With a furious roar, he unleashed an even greater destructive power, causing a powerful aura that blew back the two closest to him, Dan Heng and Seele.

As Richie raised his right hand, forming the colossal block of ice hovering in the air, his intentions became evident. In the following moments, he swung his right hand down with tremendous force.

Boom!

The skyward-bound ice transformed into a hailstorm of meteoric chunks, crashing violently onto the ground. The condensed ice scattered in all directions, posing a dire threat to everyone present.

Bronya, anxiety ringing in her voice, cried out, "Lord Guardian, be careful!" With unwavering determination, she dashed toward Adonis, attempting to shield him from the incoming barrage of ice.

In sync with Bronya, Seele also moved swiftly. She deftly dodged the incoming ice spears while urgently making her way to Adonis, her face etched with panic.

Meanwhile, March Seven, her attention locked on the unfolding chaos in Adonis's vicinity, promptly turned her head. She expertly drew her bow, launching a condensed icicle arrow toward Adonis's side. The ice arrow struck the ground right in front of Adonis and Bronya, promptly crystallizing into a protective ice barrier.

Bronya and Seele cast grateful glances in March's direction as they sought refuge behind the newly formed ice wall, along with Adonis.

It was at this very moment that Richie's relentless assault came to a halt.

Worry etched across their faces, Bronya and Seele turned their attention to Adonis, who was standing safely behind the ice barrier. Concern evident in her voice, Bronya asked, "Lord Guardian, you're not hurt, are you?"

Adonis offered them a reassuring smile and shook his head. "I'm fine, you two don't have to worry about me," he assured them, his gaze steady. "Just focus on the battle in front of you."

Bronya vehemently disagreed, her expression resolute as she shook her head. Beside her, Seele nodded in agreement, her scythe at the ready. "No, we can't!" Bronya declared, her voice unwavering. "If something happens to you, how would we explain it to the people of Beloberg?"

Seele added her support to Bronya's plea. "I'll leave him to you. Protect him," she affirmed, determination evident in her eyes.

With that, Seele charged back toward Richie with a furious resolve. However, before she could reach him, Richie reacted, he had heard the word "Lord Guardian," despite the distance.

"Guardian? Lord Guardian? Great Guardian? You! Only you must die!" Richie's words echoed with an eerie intensity.

Bronya gasped in alarm. She tightly grasped Adonis's hand, her protective instincts kicking in.

Meanwhile, Richie raised his right hand high, summoning an array of ice spears around him. With deadly intent, he aimed these icy projectiles at the protective ice wall shielding Adonis.

The sheer number of ice spears was staggering, sending a shiver down Seele's spine.

However, realizing she wouldn't be able to avoid the impending onslaught, Bronya bravely positioned herself in front of Adonis, resolutely declaring, "Lord Guardian, I'll definitely protect you."

Bronya took a deep breath and steeled herself, her eyes fixed resolutely on the onslaught of ice spears. She was prepared to sacrifice herself to protect Adonis.

However, at that very moment, Adonis stepped closer to her, placing a comforting hand on her head. His smile was warm, but his words carried authority. "Lord Guardian?" Bronya questioned, her gaze locked onto his face.

"Stay behind me and don't come out," Adonis instructed firmly, knowing that she wouldn't easily comply. "This is an order."

Bronya found herself torn between her desire to protect Adonis and her duty to obey his command. She hesitated, uncertain of what to do. Then Adonis spoke again, his tone unwavering.

"Come, do your worst."

With those words, countless ice spears hurtled toward Adonis in a menacing barrage.
