Ben soared through the night sky. He had cradled Nojiko in his arms in a princess-style carry. Her eyes burned with fury. "If that bastard lays a finger on my sister," she said.
Ben looked down. "He won't. I'll stop him. I'll save her," he said. He thought Nojiko was angry. He did not want to be on the wrong side of a woman`s wrath.
Nojiko nodded. "I'm with you Ben. All the way," she replied.
They descended swiftly and landed with a heavy thud at the church's entrance. The old wooden doors creaked. Ben and Nojiko looked up and froze.
A group of zombies stood in formation. One held Nami who was dressed in a torn white bridal gown. Her body limped and her eyes were closed.
Absalom stood in front of them. He had a twisted grin stretching across his face.
"Nami," Nojiko cried out.
Absalom looked behind him. He saw a blue-haired woman. "Who are you?" he asked. "You weren't in the guest list but you're quite the beauty," he added.
Ben didn't wait. He launched forward and kicked the zombie holding Nami square in the chest. The zombie was sent flying into the stone wall with a sickening crunch.
He caught Nami in his arms. She looked beautiful, he thought. He stared at her.
Absalom stepped closer. "I don't recognize you. Who are you, and why are you here?" he asked. He looked at Nami. "An angel," he said.
"Demon Beam," Ben said as he raised his hand. There was energy swirling in his palm. Then a beam shot forward and struck Absalom in the chest. The blast erupted in a small explosion. There was black smoke around him.
As the smoke cleared, Absalom stumbled out. His skin scorched and marked. "What was that for?" he coughed. "You just attacked me," he added.
Ben stepped. "You assaulted Nami in the shower when she was most vulnerable. You deserve worse," he said as he clenched his fist.
Nojiko approached Ben as she looked at her sister. "Ben, let me hold her," she said.
Ben nodded and gently passed Nami into Nojiko's arms. "It's okay, sis. I'm here," Nojiko whispered as she brushed Nami's hair from her face.
Absalom's eyes widened. "Sister? That explains a lot," she remarked.
Ben flew towards Absalom. "Demon Fist," Ben said as he channeled energy into his fist and punched Absalom in the gut. The impact sent him flying. Blood sprayed from his mouth as he crashed onto his back.
"Absalom," the priest zombie said.
Absalom groaned. "That... hurt," he said.
The other zombies recoiled in shock. "Who is he?" one whispered.
Absalom looked up and saw Ben. His black claws extended from his hands, his back sprouted dark wings, a black tail lashed behind him, and two small horns curved from his forehead. His eyes glowed red, pupil-less.
"A demon," the priest zombie muttered.
Absalom spat blood. "You'll pay for this. I'll take them both as my bride... no matter what," he said. "Skating," he added as his body shimmered and vanished.
"He's gone," Nojiko said. "The power of an invisible man," he added.
Ben reached into his pocket and pulled out a bag of salt. He scattered it in all directions with the flick of his fingers.
A sudden grunt echoed. "Salty!" Absalom cried as he swallowed the salt. His invisibility faltered.
Ben didn't hesitate. "Demon's Inferno Fist," Ben said he ignited his energy and black flames engulfed his fist. He flew forward and punched Absalom in the stomach. The flames seared into his flesh.
Absalom screamed as he was launched backward and crashed into the ground. His body was smoldering. His jacket was on fire. "Get it off," Absalom said as he threw his jacket off. The fire had spread to his top and he threw it off as well. Absalom was topless. His body had various stitches on his shoulders and chest.
"Dead Person's Hand," Absalom said as he aimed both of his arms. He smiled and fired two invisible bazookas. They went towards Ben.
Ben's eyes flashed red. He saw two projectiles coming towards him. He side stepped and dodged the attack. The invisible bazooka flew past him and hit the wall. There was an explosion.
"What was that?" Nojiko asked as she saw the explosion.
Ben flew forward. "Demon Kick," Ben said as he channeled his energy into his leg and kicked Absalom on his arms. At that moment, two bazokka fell from his arms. "You can make anything invisible by touching them so you made the missiles invisible," he said.
Absalom looked shocked. "Who are you?" he asked.
"Absalom, Commander," a spider monkey said as he came down from the ceiling. "We have terrible news, the Love Pirates have also entered the island," he added
"Love Pirates?" Absalom asked.
"Yes they are a group of pirates led by Captain Alvida, her second in command is him, Demon King Ben with 310,000,000 Beli bounty," he responded.
"What he has a higher bounty than that Strawhat," Absalom asked.
Absalom grinned. "It doesn't matter," he sneered. "I will defeat you," he added.
Ben stepped forward. "You won't defeat me," he said. He raised his palm and dark energy swirled around his fingertips.
"Demon Abyssal Shackles," Ben said as from his hand, black, metallic chains erupted. It twisted through the air like serpents. They clamped onto Absalom's wrists with a resounding clang, and locked tightly.
Absalom's grin faltered. "What, what is this? Get these off me," he shouted as he struggled against the shackles. He could feel his strength draining. His limbs were growing heavy. "What are these?" he asked.
Ben didn't answer. He turned his head slightly. "Nojiko," he said.
From behind him, Nojiko stepped forward. She raised her hands to the sky. "Cloud Surge," Nojiko said as dense storm clouds began to swirl. They formed rapidly above Absalom.
"Where did those clouds come from?" a nearby priest zombie muttered.
The clouds darkened. Nojiko's hair fluttered in the wind as she lifted her hand again. "Lightning Drill," Nojiko said as a bolt of lightning twisted into a spiraling spear. It rotated faster and faster until it glowed white-hot. She hurled it downward.
The bolt struck Absalom with explosive force, pierced through the storm and slamming into his chest.
"AAARRGH," Absalom screamed as his body convulsed. The electricity surged through him. His organs were shocked. Smoke rose from his body. His muscles twitched uncontrollably. The storm clouds crackled overhead.
"Absalon," the priest zombie shouted.
Ben thought they were a bit annoying.
He looked at Absalom whose body was smoking. He was not down. With his other hand, he formed a spear-shaped projection of dark energy. "Demon Abyssal Lance," Ben said as he hurled it at high speed towards Absalom and struck his chest and heart.
Absalom spat blood. "You," Absalom said as his heart stopped and he died. Ben let go.
"Absalom," the priest said. At that moment, Nojiko threw a cube of salt into his mouth. The priest's zombie body started to convulse and a black bob appeared from his mouth and shot into the sky.
Ben released the dark shackles around Absalom. His body slumped to the ground. Ben thought he was a scum. He thought even thought in the original story he was not shown to rape anyone there is no gurantee he did not. He abused his power and more importantly he hurt Nami.
He turned towards Nojiko. "Is she okay?" he asked who lay unconscious in Nojiko`s arms. Nami`s chest was rising and falling gently.
Nojiko smiled. "She hasn't woken up yet, maybe she's waiting for a prince," she said.
Ben blinked. "A prince?" he asked. "You mean a kiss?" he asked once more.
Nojiko's grin widened. "I'm not," Nojiko said. "It's worth a try," he asked. She thought he was going to kiss her sister. Her smile grew wider.
Ben sighed, rubbing the back of his neck. He looked at Nami. She was beautiful. Nojiko handed Nami over to him.
He thought he was going to kiss her. He leaned in slowly. His hand gently cradled her cheek. Their faces were inches away and then they met. Their lips met. Ben was kissing Nami. Ben thought her lips were soft. His heart beat started to pound.
Nami's eyes fluttered open. She felt something on her lips. They were soft and warm. She looked up and stared at him. Her lips still tingled. Her mind scrambled to make sense of what she was feeling.
She saw Ben's face. He was kissing her. "What the hell?" she shouted as she shoved him back and got to her feet.
Ben stumbled and fell on his back. Ben smiled. He had kissed Nami.
Nami looked down. Her cheeks were flushed. "You kissed me while I was asleep?" she asked. "This will cost you a lot," she added.
Nojiko smiled. She thought she was back.
Ben raised his hands defensively. "It was supposed to wake you up," he said.
Nami narrowed her eyes. She then crossed her arms. "I'm so mad at you," she said. "You will pay me 500 million Beli for his kiss," she added as she turned around. Her lips twitched with the hint of a smile.
Nojiko chuckled and walked over and wrapped Nami in a warm hug. "You're awake. That's all that matters," she said.
Nami`s face lit up. "Nojko you are here as well?" she said with a big smile on her face as the two of them hugged.
"I am," Nojiko responded with a smile on her face. "You have done a lot in the past and now I will be with you as well," she added.
Sanji stood at the door. His eyes were wide and there were tears coming down his face. He had arrived just in time to see the kiss and now looked like he'd been struck by lightning.
"Nami-swaaaan," he whispered.
Ben looked over and smiled. He thought poor Sanji. He turned around and saw Nami and Nojiko had their bodies pressed together. They looked beautiful.
Nojiko laughed. "Well, if nothing else, it worked," she remarked.
Nami rolled her eyes. "Next time, just throw cold water on me," she said.
Nami looked over at Absalom`s body. "So he is dead?" she asked.
"Ben killed him," Nojiko responded. "It happens in fights," Nojiko added.
Nami nodded. She looked at Ben. She thought he had gotten stronger.
Meanwhile back on Miss Love Duck, Dorothy was in the kitchen when she saw a fruit change.
Meanwhile, Luffy sprinted down the long, dim corridor. The walls trembled around him. The ground shook violently beneath his feet as dust fell from the ceiling.
"What was that?!" Luffy shouted as he skidded to a stop.
Gecko Moria laid on his back. His hands folded behind his head. "Probably just the ship caught in some strange current," Moria said with a smirk. "Now then what business do you have here, Straw Hat?" he asked.
Luffy looked at them. "You ripped my shadow away a while ago. I want it back. Zoro, Sanji, Brook and even that old zombie guy. I'll take them all," he said.
Moria chuckled. His sharp teeth glinted. "Quite the greedy brat. And how exactly do you plan to do it?" he asked.
"I'll kick your ass," Luffy snapped.
"Kishishishi," Moria burst into laughter. "With your current strength? You can't even touch me," he added.
"Alright then," Luffy growled as he stretched his arm back. "Gomu Gomu no Pistol," he added as his fist shot forward like a cannonball. However before it could land, a massive black shadow-hand erupted from the floor and intercepted the blow.
Luffy's eyes widened. "What the," he said.
Moria grinned. "Let's see how you fare against my clone," he said as a shadow twisted and rose. It formed into a towering silhouette of Moria himself. Its jagged grin mirrored his master's.
"I call him Doppelman," he said.
Luffy glared at the shadow. "Who's this guy supposed to be? Move," he said.
Moria's grin widened. "I don't need to lift a finger. Others will fight for me. Others will make me Pirate King," he said.
"Shut up!" Luffy roared. "I'm the one who's gonna be Pirate King," he added.
Doppelman swung its massive hand down like a hammer. Luffy leapt back and dodged the attack. The ground exploded where he had stood.
"Your zombie said the same thing once," Moria sneered.
Doppelman struck again. His fists pounded the floor like falling meteors. Luffy dodged as he jumped side to side. He then sprang up with a fierce kick. His foot connected with the shadow's chest, forcing it back a step.
"Out of my way," Luffy shouted as his arms blurred as he pulled them back. "Gomu Gomu no Gatling Gun," he said as a storm of fists went towards Moria.
Moria smirked. "Brick Bat," he said as Doppelman's body suddenly shattered into dozens of black spheres. Luffy's fists struck them but they absorbed the blows and halted his attack.
"Go," Moria commanded as the spheres twisted and writhed, transforming into a swarm of screeching bats. They shot forward in a black wave. Their wings sliced the air as they descended on Luffy.
Luffy braced himself. The bats hit his leg and his arm. "Ouch," Luffy said. The bats kept biting him.
"Don't worry, they won't suck your blood," Moria sneered as he smiled. "Kick my ass? Don't make me laugh," he added.
Luffy's eyes narrowed, but before he could respond, Moria tilted his head. "But… there's someone else here with you, isn't there?" he asked.
Suddenly, one of the shadow bats swooped down and sank its teeth into Luffy's face. Another latched onto his hand. "Let go of me," Luffy shouted as he swung his fist. His punch connected, sending the bats flying. They splattered against the wall like ink. They writhed and reformed and merged back into Doppelman.
"With me?" Luffy muttered as he tugged his straw hat down firmly. A grin spread across his face.
"It doesn't matter," Moria said coldly. "You'll all lose in the end," he added.
"I'm getting annoyed with you," Luffy snapped as he leapt from the railing and grabbed the edge as he swung himself forward.
"Are you trying to jump to your death?" Moria mocked.
"Gomu Gomu no Stamp," Luffy said as he stretched his leg downward and then swung upwards into the floor beneath Moria. The ground cracked and shattered, and the force of the blow launched Moria into the air. He crashed back down with a thunderous thud.
Moria groaned. He pushed himself up. "That hurt, you stupid brat," he said.
Luffy smirked. "See. I touched you after all, you giant leek," he said.
Moria's eyes narrowed. He glared at Luffy.
Luffy just giggled. He bounced up and landed on the platform. "We can beat you," he said.
Then the ground shook violently. From the massive hole in the floor, a colossal figure emerged. Oars stood there.
"He's huge," Luffy muttered. His eyes were wide. "Bigger than a giant," he added.
"You've finally come, Oars," Moria said with satisfaction. "The body and shadow have merged at last," he added. He leaned forward."Tell me, are you a fully obedient zombie now? Who is your master?" he asked.
Oars' massive head tilted down. "My master is Moria," Oars responded.
"Why?" Luffy shouted as he clenched his fists.
"Kishishishi," Moria laughed.
"Hey! What are you saying?" Luffy yelled up at Oars. "Are you really my shadow? Don't listen to him!" he added.
Oars squinted. "Who are you, Straw Hat guy?" he asked.
Moria smirked. "Then I'll give you your first order. The Straw Hats are rampaging across Thriller Bark. Hunt them down," he said.
He tossed a bundle of bounty posters into Oars' massive hand. The giant zombie studied the faces.
"Those are the Straw Hats," Moria said. "Pulverize them without mercy. Send them crawling back to their ship. Whether they live or die. I don't care. Don't hold back. Show them your power," he added. Moria thought there was more but they would be squashed in the process.
"Found you, Straw Hat," Oars said.
"Wait," Luffy shouted.
"See you later, Straw Hat," Moria taunted as he ran away.
"Get back here," Luffy yelled as he sprinted after him.
Oars tilted his head as he watched Luffy run. "Wait, I can't go there," he muttered. "I will go after you later," he said.
Luffy chased Moria down. "You can't get away from me," Luffy shouted.
"Try and catch me, then," Moria responded as his laughter bounced off the walls.
"Stop," Luffy roared. The corridor grew darker, the air colder, until suddenly they burst outside. Fog rolled across the ground.
"Stop," Luffy shouted again as he leapt forward. He grabbed Moria by the shoulder and pushed him to the ground.
The shadow turned. Luffy looked. He saw that it wasn't Moria. It was Doppelman.
"Hey, when did you switch?" Luffy demanded. "Where's the real Moria?" he asked.
The shadow clone smirked silently before sinking into the ground like tar.
Luffy's fists trembled. "Damn it. I was tricked," he said.
He pulled his hat low and gritted his teeth. "Tch. This isn't over," he said.
