...

"Look at the pure technical proficiency on display!" Mathews cheered. "This is exactly what NXT is all about! High level, athletic competition!" The sequence ended with a stalemate in the center of the ring, both men popping up to their feet simultaneously. The crowd applauded the effort. Rollins smirked, backing into his corner, and tagged the outstretched hand of Dean Ambrose.

The dynamic of the match instantly, violently shifted.

The Lunatic Fringe didn't want to engage in chain wrestling. He wanted a fight. Ambrose stepped through the ropes, his eyes completely wild, his messy hair falling in his face. He charged Woods, backing him into the corner with a flurry of chaotic, erratic punches. Ambrose rubbed his forearm aggressively across Woods' face, completely disregarding the referee's warnings.

Ambrose grabbed Woods by the wrist, whipped him violently into the opposite corner, and followed in immediately with a crushing running forearm smash. Before Woods could even stagger forward, Ambrose hit the ropes and nearly took Woods' head off with a devastating running bulldog!

Ambrose hooked the leg!

One! Two!

Woods managed to kick out, scrambling desperately toward his corner.

"Ambrose is an absolute wild card!" Cole noted. "He doesn't have a conventional offensive style, he just operates on pure, unadulterated aggression! Woods is completely overwhelmed!"

Woods lunged forward, tagging Dolph Ziggler.

The Showoff entered the ring, his face a mask of absolute determination. Ziggler was fighting for his spot in the God King's empire. He charged Ambrose, looking for his signature jumping DDT, but Ambrose simply threw Ziggler off him.

Ambrose tagged Rollins back in. The champions utilized a brilliant, high impact piece of tandem offense. Ambrose hit Ziggler with a Russian Leg Sweep, completely grounding the Showoff. Instantly, Rollins hit the ropes, accelerating to top speed, and delivered a devastating, picture perfect running shooting star press that landed directly on Ziggler's chest!

"What an incredible combination from the champions!" Mathews yelled. "Rollins and Ambrose are operating like a well oiled machine!"

Rollins covered Ziggler!

One! Two!

Ziggler kicked out at the absolute last microsecond!

On the outside, Paul Heyman was practically pulling his hair out. He slammed his hands against the ring apron, screaming frantically at Ziggler to get back to his corner.

Roman Reigns stood a few feet away, his arms crossed over his massive chest, glaring a hole directly through the Special Advisor, ensuring Heyman didn't try any underhanded tactics.

Ziggler, desperate to turn the tide, caught Rollins with a sharp rake to the eyes. The referee missed it entirely.

Ziggler capitalized immediately, hitting Rollins with a beautiful, high angle dropkick that completely flattened the Architect. Ziggler scrambled to his corner, tagging Xavier Woods.

The challengers finally managed to cut the ring in half. They isolated Seth Rollins in the heel corner, utilizing quick, aggressive tags to keep the champion grounded. Woods delivered a series of stiff kicks to Rollins' back. Ziggler tagged in, hitting a devastating leaping elbow drop right across Rollins' heart.

"The Undisputed System is finally showing why Sandro Zhang recruited them!" Cole analyzed. "They are utilizing classic, textbook tag team isolation strategy! They are cutting Rollins off from his partner!"

"They have to keep the pace slow, Michael!" Mathews agreed. "If Ambrose gets a hot tag, this entire match will devolve into absolute chaos!"

Ziggler locked Rollins in a tight, punishing sleeper hold in the dead center of the ring. The Showoff wrapped his legs around Rollins' waist, utilizing his amateur wrestling background to completely drag the Architect down to the canvas.

The Tampa crowd began a massive, unified chant, clapping their hands to a steady rhythm, desperately trying to rally the champion.

"LET'S GO ROLLINS! LET'S GO ROLLINS!"

Rollins, his face turning red from the lack of oxygen, slowly began to push himself up. He fought to a vertical base, carrying the dead weight of Dolph Ziggler on his back like a parasitic twin. Rollins reached his hand out, his fingers inches away from the outstretched, frantic hand of Dean Ambrose!

Ziggler realized the danger. He let go of the sleeper hold, dropping to his feet behind Rollins, and immediately grabbed Rollins by the back of the tights, violently yanking him back into the center of the ring!

Ziggler hooked Rollins, looking for the Zig Zag!

But Rollins possessed elite ring awareness. He grabbed the top rope with both hands, halting his momentum completely! Ziggler crashed backward onto the canvas, missing the move entirely!

Rollins hit the ropes, rebounding with incredible velocity, and nearly took Ziggler's head off with a catastrophic, leaping enzuigiri kick!

Both men collapsed to the mat, completely exhausted. The crowd was on their feet, screaming for the tag.

"This is the opening!" Cole screamed. "Rollins needs to make the tag! Ambrose is ready to explode!"

Rollins began the slow, agonizing, dramatic crawl toward his corner. Ziggler, entirely disoriented, began crawling toward his.

Rollins lunged forward, slapping the hand of Dean Ambrose!

Ziggler lunged, tagging Xavier Woods!

The Lunatic Fringe entered the ring like a completely unhinged missile! Ambrose ducked a wild clothesline from Woods, hitting a flurry of completely chaotic, wild left and right hooks that backed Woods into the ropes. Ambrose hit a massive running forearm, followed immediately by a bulldog!

Ziggler tried to illegally enter the ring, but Ambrose saw him coming. Ambrose caught Ziggler, effortlessly throwing the Showoff entirely over the top rope, sending him crashing onto the floor right at the feet of Roman Reigns!

Woods staggered up, completely dazed. Ambrose grabbed him, hooking his arms for the devastating Dirty Deeds double underhook DDT!

"He's got him!" Mathews yelled. "That's called the Dirty Deeds! This match is over!"

But Paul Heyman, operating on pure, desperate panic, hopped up onto the ring apron!

The Special Advisor screamed at the referee, pointing wildly at Roman Reigns on the outside, claiming the Juggernaut had attacked Dolph Ziggler! The referee turned his back entirely on the action in the ring to argue with Heyman!

Xavier Woods realized the opening. He violently shoved Dean Ambrose backward.

Ambrose stumbled, crashing chest first into the turnbuckles. As Ambrose staggered backward, Woods capitalized with terrifying speed, hitting the ropes and executing a flawless, devastating Honor Roll rolling clothesline that caught Ambrose perfectly under the jaw!

Ambrose collapsed to the mat, completely unconscious.

Woods hooked the leg!

"Heyman provided the perfect distraction!" Cole yelled in disgust. "The referee is completely out of position! Turn around, ref!"

The referee finally turned around, entirely missing the illegal interference, and saw Woods covering the champion.

The official dove into position!

One!

The crowd gasped in horror.

Two!

"No!" Mathews cried out.

Seth Rollins, defying the laws of gravity, launched himself entirely over the top rope with a spectacular springboard flying knee! Rollins crashed directly into the back of Xavier Woods' head, breaking up the pinfall at the absolute last possible millisecond!

The Tampa arena completely erupted into a chant of "NXT! NXT! NXT!" The tag team main event had evolved into an absolute, breathtaking masterpiece of tag team wrestling, the sheer chaos and desperation pushing all four men to their absolute physical limits.

As the referee desperately tried to restore order, the fate of the NXT Tag Team Championships, and the fragile pride of the Undisputed System, hung perilously in the balance.

Seth Rollins, clutching his ribs after the spectacular springboard flying knee, rolled back frantically toward his corner. He didn't have the energy to stand, but he didn't need to. He reached out with outstretched hand toward Dean Ambrose who tagged on his hand.

The Architect entered the ring like a man completely possessed. Rollins didn't walk, he vibrated with a kinetic, unhinged energy that the Tampa crowd absolutely adored. Xavier Woods, still entirely dazed from Rollins' flying knee, staggered to a vertical base, completely unaware that the legal man had changed.

Rollins hit the ropes, accelerating to maximum velocity, and launched himself at Woods with a devastating running crossbody! The impact took both men down to the canvas, but Rollins didn't stop to breathe.

He immediately transitioned into a mounted position, raining down a technical, cold calculating flurry of left and right fists directly into Woods' face. The referee rushed over, waving his arms, desperately trying to pull Rollins off the challenger to enforce the five count rule.

"Rollins is a house of fire!" Cole yelled over the deafening crowd. "He is completely ignoring the official! He just wants to destroy the Undisputed System!"

"He needs to be careful, Michael!" Josh Mathews warned anxiously. "Rollins are beginning to wrestles with his heart, not his head! That kind of reckless momentum can backfire in an instant!"

Rollins finally broke the mount, hauling Woods to his feet by his hair. He grabbed Woods by the wrist, whipping him violently into the ropes. As Woods rebounded, Rollins lowered his head, looking for a back body drop. But Woods, demonstrating his elite ring IQ, anticipated the maneuver. Woods kicked Rollins squarely in the chest, halting the champion's momentum.

Dolph Ziggler, having recovered on the ring apron, screamed at Woods to make the tag. Woods lunged forward, slapping Ziggler's hand.

The Showoff sprang over the top rope, hitting the ring with fresh legs and desperate intentions. Ziggler charged Rollins, looking to hit the Fameasser. Rollins sidestepped the attack with brilliant agility. Ziggler crashed onto the mat, but immediately rolled through, popping back up to his feet.

Rollins, fueled by pure, unadulterated adrenaline, hit the ropes. He bounded back, looking to take Ziggler's head off with his devastating knee attack, the Flying Knee.

But Ziggler wasn't there.

Demonstrating the survival instincts that Sandro Zhang demanded of his faction, Ziggler dropped completely flat onto his stomach at the absolute last microsecond.

Rollin's momentum was entirely out of control. He couldn't stop his forward trajectory. His flying knee missed Dolph Ziggler and instead connected directly, sickeningly, with the jaw of the NXT referee, who had stepped into the center of the ring to check on Ziggler!

SMACK!

The official was instantly leveled, flipped entirely backwards by the sheer force of the inadvertent lariat. He crashed to the canvas in a crumpled, unconscious heap.

"Oh no!" Cole screamed in absolute horror. "The referee is down! Rollins just accidentally knocked the official out cold!"

"This is a disaster!" Mathews yelled, standing up at the desk. "The referee is completely incapacitated! There is no law and order in this match anymore!"

The Tampa crowd let out a massive, collective groan, knowing exactly what a knocked out referee meant when the Undisputed System was involved.

On the outside of the ring, Paul Heyman's face lit up with a wicked, opportunistic, and truly evil smile. The Special Advisor immediately began screaming frantic instructions, pointing wildly toward the ringside area.

Rollins looked down at the unconscious referee, his hands on his head in pure frustration. He turned his back on the challengers for a fraction of a second to check on the official. It was the only opening the Undisputed System needed.

On the outside, Roman Reigns saw the referee go down. The Juggernaut instantly realized the danger. Reigns marched around the ring post, stepping up onto the steel ring apron, preparing to enter the squared circle and protect his Shield brethren from the inevitable underhanded tactics of the golden empire.

But Ziggler and Woods were operating with a terrifying, synchronized desperation. They knew they had to neutralize the biggest threat first.

As Reigns stood on the apron, trying to enter the ring, Ziggler and Woods locked eyes. They both hit the opposite ropes simultaneously, accelerating to absolute top speed. Moving like twin torpedoes, they launched themselves through the middle ropes in perfect unison!

"DOUBLE SUICIDE DIVE!" Cole shrieked at the top of his lungs.

The combined weight and velocity of both Ziggler and Woods crashed directly into the chest of Roman Reigns! The Juggernaut was completely blown off the ring apron, flying backward and crashing violently into the steel barricade with a sickening thud!

"They just took out the Juggernaut!" Mathews yelled. "The Undisputed System is making their move!"

Ambrose, seeing his brother taken out, slid out of the ring to help. But Ambros was still heavily fatigued from the offensive flurry he received before Rollins tagged in. As Ambrose rounded the corner of the ring, Ziggler and Woods intercepted him like a pack of starving wolves.

It was a complete, two on one mugging on the ringside floor. Ziggler hit a brutal kick to Ambroses' gut, doubling the Lunatic Fringe over. Woods grabbed Ambros by the back of the neck, and together, they violently whipped the NXT Tag Team Champion face first into the steel barricade!

CRASH!

Ambrose collapsed, clutching his face. But they weren't done. Ziggler grabbed Ambrose by the hair, dragging him up, and whipped him with terrifying force into the opposite side of the barricade!

CRASH!

"They are destroying Dean Ambrose!" Cole cried out in dismay. "This isn't a wrestling match anymore, this is an execution!"

Roman Reigns, operating on pure heart and adrenaline, staggered back to his feet. He let out a primal roar, charging at Ziggler and Woods to save Rollins. But the Undisputed System challengers saw him coming. Ziggler dropped down, taking out Reigns' knee with a vicious chop block. As Reigns stumbled forward, Woods caught him with a massive superkick right to the jaw!

The Juggernaut was dazed. Ziggler and Woods grabbed Reigns by his tactical vest. With a synchronized, agonizing heave, they forcefully launched the 265 pound powerhouse entirely over the NXT announce table!

Reigns crashed through the monitors, sending sparks flying and forcing Michael Cole and Josh Mathews to scramble desperately for their lives!

"Watch out!" Cole yelled, diving out of his chair as the table completely collapsed under Reigns' immense weight. "The entire ringside area has been decimated! Ziggler and Woods have systematically taken out Ambrose and Reigns!"

"And Rollins is all alone in the ring!" Mathews added, his voice trembling as he watched from a safe distance.

Inside the ring, Rollins finally realized the extent of the carnage. He looked to the outside, seeing Ambrose laid out against the barricade and Reigns buried under the wreckage of the announce desk.

Ziggler and Woods slid back under the bottom rope, their faces twisted into arrogant, sadistic smirks. They slowly circled the Architect, cutting off all avenues of escape.

Rollins didn't back down. He put his fists up, biting his lip, fully prepared to take them both on. He swung a right hand at Woods, but Woods easily ducked it. Ziggler instantly clipped Rollins from behind with a devastating knee to the back of the leg, dropping the champion to one knee.

The two on one assault commenced. Woods delivered a brutal, stiff kick to Rollins's chest, followed by Ziggler hitting a snapping DDT that spiked Rollins head first into the canvas.

"The numbers game has entirely consumed the champions," Cole noted sadly, finding his headset amidst the wreckage. "The Undisputed System is doing exactly what the God King ordered. They are securing the gold by any means necessary."

Woods hauled the limp body of Seth Rollins to his feet. He hooked Ambrose's arm, twisting his hand, and brought Rollins's head crashing down into Woods feet with his devastating signature maneuver, the Lost in the Woods!

Rollins's head bounced off foot onto the canvas, entirely lifeless. But the challengers wanted to leave absolutely zero doubt.

Dolph Ziggler, the legal man, stood in the corner, stalking the fallen champion. As Rollins instinctively, agonizingly tried to push himself up to a kneeling position, Ziggler leaped into the air. He grabbed Ambrose around the head, violently twisting his body, and drove the back of Rollins's skull directly into the mat with a catastrophic Zig Zag!

"Zig Zag!" Mathews yelled. "It's over! It has to be over!"

Ziggler hooked both of Ambrose's legs, burying his face into the canvas, screaming at the referee to wake up.

On the outside, Paul Heyman grabbed a half empty water bottle from the timekeeper's area and mercilessly splashed it directly into the unconscious referee's face. The official gasped, his eyes fluttering open. He groggily grabbed his jaw, looking around the ring in a complete daze.

Heyman pointed frantically at the pinfall taking place in the center of the ring. "Count! Count the fall! It's a pin!"

The referee, barely able to process where he was, slowly crawled toward Ziggler and Rollins. He raised his hand, bringing it down to the mat with agonizing slowness.

One...

The Tampa crowd screamed in horror, desperately hoping for a miracle.

On the outside, Ambrose was desperately, frantically trying to pull himself up onto the ring apron. He saw the count happening. He reached his hand out, screaming for Rollins to kick out, trying to drag his battered body into the ring to break up the pin.

But Xavier Woods was standing guard. Woods rushed over, delivering a brutal, ruthless baseball slide dropkick directly to Ambroses' face, sending the Lunatic Fringe crashing back down to the floor, completely extinguishing the final spark of hope.

The referee's hand came down again.

...Two...

Rollins didn't even twitch.

...Three.

DING! DING! DING!

The Undisputed System entrance theme blasted through the Performance Center sound system, immediately drowned out by a massive, hostile, and utterly deafening wave of boos from the furious NXT audience.

"No! No! No!" Cole shouted in absolute dismay, slamming his hands on the broken announce desk. "This is a travesty of justice! Dolph Ziggler and Xavier Woods have stolen the championships!"

"They used every dirty trick in the book, Michael!" Mathews agreed, shaking his head in disgust. "They knocked out the referee, they neutralized Reigns, they isolated Ambrose, and they double teamed Rollins! It was a tactical mugging!"

"But the record books won't say how they won!" Cole countered bitterly. "The record books will only show that the Undisputed System has managed to fulfill the God King's direct order! They have brought the NXT Tag Team gold to the empire!"

On the outside, Paul Heyman was practically weeping tears of absolute joy. He didn't even wait for the referee to retrieve the titles. The Special Advisor scrambled over to the timekeeper's area, physically snatching the two NXT Tag Team Championships from the shocked ringside worker.

Heyman slid under the bottom rope, his signature, deeply evil smirk plastered across his flushed face. He walked to the center of the ring, handing one title belt to Dolph Ziggler and the other to Xavier Woods.

Ziggler and Woods stand side by side, hoisting the gold high above their heads, screaming in triumph at the booing crowd. Heyman stood between them, raising both of their arms in victory, the picture of absolute, untouchable corporate corruption.

The visual of the Undisputed System reclaiming their power, draped in stolen gold while the bodies of The Shield lay broken around the ringside area, was the final, devastating image of the broadcast. NXT ended on that bitter, hostile note, the show credits rolling rapidly across the screen before the image faded to absolute black.
