The Red Scavengers didn't seem as dangerous as the first or second servants. They resembled an enhanced version of the Gray Watchers more than monsters with a distinct threat level.
Still, when there were so many of them, more than a dozen, and they had consumed the amber flow, the situation changed rapidly. The amber flow contained only tiny particles of the Frenzied Shard's energy, what remained of the second servant, but that was more than enough to make the Red Scavengers stronger.
Sure, Adam, Loargh, Vyora, and Sarka were strong enough to handle this problem. Their target was the third servant, who was supposed to possess power surpassing that of the other servants and even half a hundred of the Red Scavengers.
But Loargh decided to take on the entire task himself. He did this not to show what he was capable of, but to correct his mistake.
He could have warned Adam, who didn't know about this, but he didn't do so because he decided the odds were too slim.
