"Noah Reyes, let me go or I'll start screaming for help!" Adele Horne grew inexplicably flustered, but she forced herself to remain calm as she warned Noah.
"Your sister-in-law let me in."
Noah's voice was deep and hoarse as he spoke.
Julia wasn't easy to deal with either, but she had, indirectly and perhaps unwillingly, helped him by sometimes fueling him, other times dousing him. He was grateful to her and guessed that of all the people in the Horne Family, she was probably the only one who believed his target was Adele.
"My sister-in-law would never betray me. Don't you slander her. Let me go this instant! Help! Help!"
"Help! Help!"
Adele strained her voice, desperately shouting.
Noah watched as she tried hard to scream for help, a trace of mockery in his eyes.
The door was locked. Even if someone heard her cries, how could they get in? And at this moment, who would dare to come in? He guaranteed he would throw anyone who dared to enter out the window!
