Aurelia Wood felt heavy-hearted; she didn't know how long she had been sitting in the cafe.
Later, whatever Tiffany Morgan said, she didn't listen, nor did she care to.
All she wanted was for Aurelia not to disrupt Kevin Gregory and her life.
Thinking about Kevin Gregory asking her to accompany him for a month only made Aurelia feel worse.

In the evening, Aurelia was packing her luggage.
She decided to return to New York, at least to avoid seeing Kevin Gregory.
The phone rang at this moment.
When she looked, she saw it was Kevin Gregory calling, and she couldn't be bothered to answer.
But Kevin Gregory was relentless, calling incessantly and even texting, "Come down, ten minutes later, if you're not down, I'll come up."
Did he think she'd be scared?
She, Aurelia Wood, was not someone to be intimidated.
Just about to turn off the phone, he sent another message, "If you want Arthur Baker to see that video..."
