Matchmaking?
Is there some mistake?
Tara Jameson stared incredulously, eyes wide, at Aunt Zhou, who was discussing by herself on the other side.
"Aunt Zhou, I'm not ready to find a boyfriend yet."
She said it apologetically, her meaning quite clear.
"Listen to the young girls today, back in our days, a girl your age would already be married and have kids. If you don't start looking now, by the time you want to, you'll be considered an old maid."
Aunt Zhou disapprovingly looked at Tara, then turned her gaze to Tara's mom and dad.
"The family I'm proposing, they're trustworthy. The young man is a chef, has a golden career, skilled hands that can survive anywhere."
"And look at your Tara, she only knows how to study. Let them meet first."
"They can talk, technology is advanced now, you can call or go online, and as soon as Tara graduates, they can marry, wouldn't that be great?"
Aunt Zhou spoke incessantly, repeating her persuasion like brainwashing.
